Episode 34 recap: Team’s sour message for rivals as share house drama explodes

It’s the start of the biggest week on The Block with not only a Kids Bedroom and Re-do Room to do, but a surprise $110,000 in cash up for grabs!

Courtney and Sev are flushed with cash after winning Rumpus and Laundry reveals, and naturally, their rivals have some ... thoughts.

“I hate that... that’s awful,” Jolene sneers during a brutal Domain Open For Inspections.

“And look at the finishes, that’s disgusting.”

For a space that’s half a point shy of a perfect 30, Jolene thinks the girls’ execution is an absolute “dog’s breakfast”. Tell us how you really feel.

Even Lisa spots something that’s slipped past the judges’ eyes.

Considering what Courtney and Sev have planned for their Re-do Room, we have a suspicion the girls are about to ruffle even more tense feathers on site.

And now, our feathers are ruffled because Chantel and Wyatt plan to inject COLOUR into their Kids Bedroom.

The same can’t be said for their Re-Do Room which Scotty has assigned here.

As the Blockheads finish their home interiors, it’s only fitting that Scotty drops the most important challenge of the season.

Hint: It’s worth a small fortune and could very well dictate who walks away as winners on Auction Day.

“This week is our Domain Listing and Buyer’s Jury Open House Challenge,” Scotty reveals.

Tally up this week’s two room reveals, the budget award and the potential of three perfect 10s, that’s an eye-watering $110,000 sitting on the table.

So it’s clear, this week’s rooms and challenge must be absolute winners. What better inspo is there than another team’s past winning room?

We smell a scandal brewing.

You see, Courtney and Sev’s planned Re-do Room looks suspiciously like Adam and Jolene’s winning Living and Dining.

Their new inclusions include a fireplace, a “mirror wall” and hopefully a Christian Cole dining table.

Sev admits this may be seen as “copying” but she sees it as inspiration, so it’s totally fine. But she’s also low-key worried.

“I’m already forecasting someone making me cry this week,” Sev confesses. Who?

Right now, Jolene has a bone to pick with Chantel and Wyatt.

Following last week’s drama (when Wyatt was caught snooping in House 1), the tension is lingering – much like the smell of Chantel’s dirty dishes soaking.

Chantel and Wyatt left for the gym without offering to wash up anything but their own plates (again), and Jolene is on the brink of losing it.

“What are we, f--king 12?” Jolene hisses in a rampage behind their backs. “He’s like a man child.”

“They go home early, they don’t put in 100 per cent, they’re not here to produce an amazing house, and he walks around like a Michelin man, like he f--king runs the place.”

Jolene is so upset, she pours Wyatt’s half-full tub of protein powder down the bin.

In case the message isn’t clear enough, she leaves a warm note for Chantel and Wyatt to discover when they return.

“It’s the attitude of not being part of the team,” a much calmer Jolene later explains to cameras.
