Room Reveal: Rick and Tayla’s Living, Dining and Alfresco
Rick and Tayla promised high-end luxury in the biggest space of the competition, but would the judges love their reveal?
Rick and Tayla were hungry for a win this week, so much so that they went through five different fireplaces until they finally found the perfect one. But would the judges love it or loathe their final decision?

Upon entering their space, the judges had one question. Why a six-seater table when a house has four bedrooms?

“This amount of square meterage and you’re putting in a six seater dining table...” Marty questioned, with the judges agreeing the chairs were all wrong.

Upon walking to the lounge, the judges were left wondering why everything was so squished in the corner of the room.

Darren said it would be an easy fix, should they move the rug around and point the sofa so it could enjoy the view.

Marty called the floor area a “breakdance area” and wasn’t too impressed with the dead space. “They’ve been given so much space, they didn’t know how to capitalise on it properly,” he said.

Ahh, the fireplace. Did the judges love it after all? Not really. “It looks like a pizza oven!” Marty said.

Darren said he was “pissed off” with all the houses for not utilising their gorgeous view outside. “They’ve been given a gift that no other Block contestant has ever been given in the entirety of the show,” he said. Would things be different outside, you ask?
