Room Reveals: Lisa and Rosco’s Front Yard and Façade
The judges immediately noticed something was off in their backyard; little did they know it was actually Lisa and Rosco’s secret weapon.
Lisa and Rosco wanted to go out with a bang in the final week with their Front Yard and Façade, so they had a “secret weapon” hidden in their build. But that’s not what the judges noticed first.

Stepping into the front yard, Darren Palmer, Dave Franklin and Shaynna Blaze immediately noticed the white cladding stone and they weren’t convinced.

“If you are doing a stone wall, I’d like to see natural stone at the bottom, next to it,” Dave said.

That’s when Shaynna noticed the elephant in the room: a massive dark shed plonked right next to the entertaining area. “Why would you put a shed here?” she asked. Little did she know...

... it opened up to reveal Lisa and Rosco’s secret weapon: the ultimate “dude ranch”, complete with a beer tap, spit and TV. Scotty Cam had just one word for it, “Fantastic”.

Heading up to the garden area, Darren admitted he wasn’t sure about the terracotta bird bath that seemed to have been dropped randomly between the plants. “Looks like something that should be at my nan’s house,” Dave said.

A bashful Lisa confessed through giggles that she only added the bird bath at the very last minute. Awkward! Dave did compliment their use of natives in the garden, at least.

Fortunately, Darren found a lot to love with the adorable kids’ picnic table and umbrella set up on the grass.

Dave ultimately felt Lisa and Rosco’s was the “most useable” garden he’d seen so far and loved that the whole space felt like it flowed together with the backyard and pool area. Shaynna even called it “every family’s dream”.
