Experience
Nicole joined the nine.com.au team in May 2022. After starting as Senior Entertainment Reporter, she moved into leadership roles as Deputy Editor and then Entertainment Editor within her first year. She also spent 12 months at the helm of the Lifestyle desk as Acting Editor before returning to lead the Entertainment team.
Originally from the UK, Nicole earned her First Class Honours in journalism from De Montfort University before cutting her teeth on local newspapers in the Midlands. In 2014, she moved to London to join OK! Online as a Showbiz Reporter, where she led red-carpet coverage, celebrity events, and live presenting. After being promoted to Senior Showbiz Reporter, she decided to relocate to Australia in 2019, bringing her international entertainment experience to a whole new media landscape.
Upon arriving in Australia, Nicole spent three years with Daily Mail Australia, where she was promoted from showbiz reporter to senior reporter. In May 2022, she joined the team at nine.com.au, a move that has seen her lead some of the site’s biggest entertainment and lifestyle coverage to date.
Today, Nicole heads a team of specialised entertainment journalists, overseeing breaking celebrity news and Nine’s flagship franchises, including Married At First Sight, Love Island Australia, and The Block.
Beyond her editorial leadership, she co-hosts Nine’s Royal Briefing podcast alongside Royal Reporter Natalie Oliveri.
Education
Nicole graduated with First Class Honours in Journalism from De Montfort University in 2014. Her NCTJ-accredited training provided a rigorous foundation in the core pillars of the craft, including shorthand, media law, and sub-editing - technical skills that continue to underpin her editorial leadership today.

Nicole’s editorial work has earned industry recognition both in Australia and the UK. She was recently named a finalist for Publishing Innovator at the 2025 Mediaweek Next of the Best Awards, and was previously named the Leicester Mercury’s Young District Reporter of the Year.
