Dan and Dani loathe ‘ridiculous’ detail in $39k Rumpus as duo call out week’s ‘losers’

Exclusive: You’d think delivering a Rumpus and Laundry would be hard to get wrong, but there was plenty to loath when Dan and Dani walked through.

There was a lot that “didn’t make sense” about this week’s Room Reveals, including an execution detail in Rick and Tayla’s $39,000 Rumpus and Laundry that left the duo repulsed.

Before we even get to House 5’s Rumpus, Dan and Dani walked into their Laundry and couldn’t stop looking at the switch by the door.

“That’s ridiculous,” Dan reacted.

The position of the switch was hurting his brain: “Why wouldn’t they centre that in the space?”

“There’s zero forethought,” Dani agreed as they pointed out just how easy a fix that could have been, in a luxury home no less.

Rick and Tayla spent $39,029.24 this week from an estimated budget of about $23,000. But did the extra $16,000 make it worthwhile?

Not in Dan and Dani’s eyes.

Don’t get the duo started on the position of their TV. They did agree the room felt like a “cold shoulder” rather than a warm hug. Ouch.

Over in House 1, Dani pointed out some “odd” choices in Adam and Jolene’s Rumpus, and definitely did not think their statement wallpaper was needed.

She would rather their whole room had dark and moody vibe.

“I don’t hate it,” said Dan kindly, before spotting one detail in their laundry that had Dani questioning: “What’s the point?”

House 2’s Chantel and Wyatt might have thought their curved feature wall was a game-changer this week, but our beloved duo disagreed.

Words like “spaceship” and “a bit much” were thrown around as they took in House 2. Overall, they thought their space was “underwhelming” and plain.

House 3 had the couple debating whether a Rumpus really needed a sink. As for the pink wallpaper? Some words were said.

But the duo weren’t done. When Dan and Dani walked into Courtney and Sev’s laundry, the lack of underfloor heating brought out a sarcastic remark.

“I’m sorry ... can’t buy this house. Losers,” Dani teased to Dan. She was joking, we think.
