Speaking on Today, Shaynna said "music has always been a part of [her] life".

Shaynna has been a singer since her early 20s, and revealed she sang in bands and sang to support her family as a single mother.

But her passion for music took a back seat as she pursued a career in design.

"With anything, if you want to do it properly you can't do it all at the same time so for me music had to step aside while I did design and TV because I love that too," she said.

Now, Shaynna's music career is front and centre and her debut single 'Warrior' holds an important message.

Co-written with Gary Pinto, the song reflects her personal struggles and the universal theme of resilience – especially during the challenging times of the pandemic.

"I wrote it about some things I was going through where I actually felt quite helpless," she explained.

"But it was about the only thing I had – my voice, and being able to use it in a positive way for strength."

Fans took to the comment section of Shaynna's post to express their adoration for the song.

"Holy moly @shaynnablaze this is absolutely stunning!!! I have been playing it all morning ❤️🔥 what an anthem, what a message! In a time when we truly need a voice to speak for them!! Absolute frissons ✨👏," one wrote.

While another said: "Gave me goosebumps 👏👏👏."
