Shock as judge Shaynna Blaze takes centre stage with TV performance: 'I didn't know she could sing!'

She's a woman of many talents, but no one expected Shaynna Blaze to take the stage during The Block's roasting challenge.

Renowned entertainer Reuben Kaye welcomed Shaynna to the spotlight as a "woman in television Australia, a mother, grandmother, design empire" and now... a singer!

Shaynna performed her newest single 'Warrior' to a crowd of 1000 at Her Majesty's Theatre and the Blockheads were in absolute shock.

The crowed went wild for the TV debut of her single.

"I didn't know she could sing!" said a gobsmacked Alicia. "She's amazing."

"To hear her sing and be backstage at a live Shaynna Blaze concert, it was actually pretty cool," gushed Taz.

Shaynna releases new single 'Warrior'

Like we said, Shaynna is a woman of many talents.

We see them every year as a judge on The Block. She's also an author, columnist and businesswoman. Oh, and she also won The Celebrity Apprentice Australia in 2021.

But in May 2025, the interior designer announced the release of her new single 'Warrior'.

Is there anything she can't do?

"Here we go… so excited to release my first single 'Warrior' on May 3. This track means so much to me. I can't wait to share it with you 🎙️ 🎶" she shared on Instagram at the time.

Friends and fans were thrilled by the news.

"GO SHAYNNA 🔥🔥🔥" Jess Origliasso, one half of musical duo The Veronicas and Shaynna's former Celebrity Apprentice co-star wrote.

"Thank you beautiful ladies," Shaynna replied.

Former The Block couples also showed their support.

"Congratulations ❤️❤️❤️" Kyal and Kara wrote.

"Wooohoooooo yes lady ❤️❤️❤️❤️ so happy for you xxx" El'ise and Matt shared.

On Instagram, she teased that the original song was a combination of genres she loved such as jazz, soul and funk and had "a very big, high-grade energy".

Shaynna has long had a passion for singing, but as her design and TV careers took off music took a natural backseat.

"There's just been something the past few years that has been this gravitational pull to going back to music, writing, performing and I'm just so excited to share it with you all," she shared in a video.

On her website, Shaynna wrote further about her "lifelong love of music".

"Back when I was first a single mum I used to sing in Melbourne jazz clubs at night while my babies slept, and I've performed occasionally since, singing at Carols by Candlelight and also on the soundtrack of the movie The Fort.

"As my interior design and TV careers took off, I moved away from music, but I never lost my passion for performing in front of a microphone. It quite simply gives me joy."
