If you want that 'day spa' vibe, there's one thing you should always take into consideration, according to the judges.
Britt and Taz hoped to achieve just that by building and tiling a separate wet area as opposed to a conventional bath and shower.
But, the judges got a very "bad feeling" on the other side of that glass door...

The floor-to-ceiling tiles, in a cold place like Daylesford, left the judges scratching their heads.
"The issue is we have floor-to-ceiling tiles and no heating," Shaynna explained.
According to the judge tiles absolutely everywhere in a cold environment was basically an interior design crime.
One that Shaynna "never" wants to see commited again.
Unfortunately for Britt and Taz, the judges' feedback got worse...
The one tiling rule you should never forget
"I feel like I'm sitting in an upmarket abattoir," said Marty Fox.
"I feel like you need to hose all the blood out of this room. It's cold, it's scary, it's got a bad feeling," he said.
The judges suggested they could have turned the space into a proper steam room, or be inspired by a bath house if executed properly.
The key takeaway?
When you're dealing with floor-to-ceiling tiles consider the coldness of the room, both literally and in design.

In Week 3, Sonny and Alicia delivered something the judges had never seen.
"Ooh la, la. That's pretty!" gushed Darren of the incredible slab tiles.
"It's a massive large format as well, I've never seen this tile in that bigger format."
An almost "perfect room" until their layout got them...

With a tile as stunning as this, and a gorgeous vanity to match, judge Marty Fox had an issue with the vanity being smaller than it should be.
Instead, the toilet was on display and on the left is a "massive wall that's been wasted".
Could you imagine if that side had the statement tile, instead of everything "squished in the corner"?

Sometimes your tile choice can be inspired by the hero piece in your room.
For Han and Can, they needed a statement tile that delivered as much drama as their spectacular resin tub.
Their two-tone beige choice let the tub's burnt orange pop, while the checkboard pattern was a statement in itself.

"The fact they'd delivered a bathroom with punch, with fun, with drama, and finished it. God, I hope they're proud," praised Shaynna.
This isn't the first time the judges have seen these tiles...

In 2024, the judges' jaws dropped when they walking into Courtney and Grant's main ensuite and saw their travertine checkerboard tiles.
"It's something I haven't seen anyone do before and it looks phenomenal," Shaynna beamed.
While Marty predicted buyers would walk in a "gasp at that level of quality" he saw.
