Room Reveal: Lisa and Rosco’s Main Ensuite
The young couple finished 90 per cent of their bathroom. Though they were happy with what they’d done, their efforts saw them get ‘absolutely obliterated on national TV’.
Lisa and Rosco wanted to bring a sense of calm to their Main Ensuite. Though the rush to the finish line was anything but calm. They fell just short of finishing their bathroom though the judges commended them for getting so, so close.

Marty Fox was loving the bathroom before he even walked in, saying how much he loved the style of the door. Hopefully, Lisa and Rosco could sustain this positive feedback!

The praise kept coming. Shaynna Blaze fell in love with the timber vanity and appreciated how the traditional style contrasted with the otherwise very modern ensuite.

Darren Palmer said:
“I love the scale of the vanity. I love these mirror cabinets. I love the storage that we’ve got in both those inclusions. I love the tactility of the material and the colour choice.”

The praise ended abruptly when the judges laid eyes on the crazy pavement. “It’s very Flinestone-ish, isn’t it,” Marty Fox said. Back at Block HQ, Lisa and Rosco squirmed hearing the feedback. Clearly it was the last thing they wanted to hear.

Marty continued: “I’m just not a fan of it at all. I find it quite weird.” Shaynna and Darren agreed saying, actual crazy pavement rather than man-made tiles would’ve been better.

Lisa and Rosco had missed the mark when it came to styling. “There’s too much going on in the room, it feels a bit messy,” the judges said.

Shaynna and Darren thought there were too many different finishes. While Marty summed up everyone’s thoughts when he said: “It’s like the kids came in and threw a lot of things at the wall.”

Thankfully the judges could breathe a sigh of relief in the shower space, which felt a lot more simplistic.
