The boys put their heart and soul into their kitchen, continuing their coastal theme with a creamy colour scheme, stunning light pendants and a bright and breezy breakfast bar.

But was it enough to get them their first win?

"This feels hands down like the best room we've delivered, and it felt fantastic to walk away from," Haydn said ahead of Room Reveals.

The boys spent a grand total of $16,869 on their kitchen – a little over the $12,000 guidance, but they hoped it would pay off in the end.

When the judges walked in, their jaws dropped.

"A finished room from the boys!" Marty gushed.

Then Darren's eye focused on the gorgeous Coastal Oak cupboards.

"Coastal Oak is probably one of my favourite finishes ever," he shared.

"I think it's absolutely appropriate for beach, I think it's got a lovely softness and with these lights?

"Those elements together just feel really perfect for this house."

Shaynna was giddy when she spotted the detailing on the island.

"The fact that we've got this shadow line [on the rim of the island] I think is absolutely beautiful."

The colour scheme was so coastal, Shaynna pointed out, that it looked exactly like Darren's entire outfit!

"I love the fact that you disappear into this – meaning that it is so coastal and so Phillip Island!" she laughed.

Darren said he loved the velvet touch of the island, and the judges agreed it was clearly a space for entertaining.

"This is the biggest kitchen we've seen today by a mile," Marty said.

"I love the fact you can easily sit nine, 10 people around this space. That's what people are coming to Phillip Island to do, gather with their family."

Even the toaster and kettle had a slight off-white tinge to them, fitting in with the coastal theme perfectly.

But it was then that Shaynna got... savage.

She went from loving the room to pointing out a myriad of issues in one scathing swoop.

"There's a lot of boxes ticked, but it's not functional. We've got a single sink..." she said, pointing out that other rooms had used double sinks to account for the huge size of the kitchen.

But that wasn't all.
