The Block's Elyse Knowles and Josh Barker are engaged!

The couple, who are due to welcome their first baby any day now, shared the beautiful news on Instagram.

In the photo, both Elyse and Josh have a hand on her belly while she flashes a stunning new ring. It's captioned, "17~1~2021," revealing the date their engagement took place.

Fellow Block alumni and famous friends of the couple flooded Elyse's post with congratulatory messages.

"Yessssssssss 🙌🏻💕 love you guys x," commented Hannah and Clint.

Shelley Craft wrote, "Congratulations!!!"

"Ooh how exciting," commented Natalie Bassingthwaighte.

Elyse's mum also commented, "Mumma & dad Knowles are so excited, love you both & muffin up to the moon & back."

The ring is a stunning bespoke piece by Natalie Marie Jewellery. Natalie worked closely with Josh to create the beautiful ring.

It seems like the proposal must have been quite a surprise for the model, who recently told The Daily Telegraph's Stellar magazine that tying the knot wasn't high on her list of priorities right now.

"I'm not really fussed about [a wedding]. The baby is the biggest commitment we need," Elyse told the publication.

"We don't even think about that anymore. I'm not worried about it. I would rather put that money into family and our life all together. We know we love each other."

The engagement is just the latest bit of excitement for the couple, who announced they were pregnant during a trip to the Northern Territory last September.

Since their time on the hit renovation show, Elyse has continued modelling while Josh has carried on with building and design. The couple also purchased a home in Byron Bay, which they are renovating.

The couple walked away winners of the Elsternwick season, with an incredible profit of $447,000 — along with the $100,000 prize money — after taking the risk to go first on auction day.

Later it was revealed that comedian and TV personality Dave 'Hughsy' Hughes had bought the property.

Throughout their season they quickly became fan favourites and proved they were in it to win it, taking out six of the 12 Room Reveal wins, including two perfect scores. They won plenty of challenges too.
