Paige and Jesse's biggest challenge this week was defining their design style.

Although 'coastal grandma' described their vibe, Paige wasn't exactly sure what that looked like.

"This week was a roller coaster of good times and bad times," said Jesse ahead of the reveals.

Last week Paige and Jesse didn't finish their room, so Scotty was so pleased to see they delivered a finished room this week.

Could now be their chance to score their first win?

Despite a stunning finished room, Paige admitted she was struggling with her design style.

"I have no background in design, I have no background in styling," she worried ahead of reveals.

But when Paige found her hero duck artwork, her vision became clear!

"I fell in love with the duck. It's very funny, it's not a piece I'd normally gravitate to," she grinned.

"There was definitely a stage where I wanted to give up, and I didn't and felt so good for it. I am so proud of this room."

Walking into House 1's guest bedroom, it seems the judges were equally proud.

Shaynna's eyes widened and she took in the charming bedroom.

"This just goes, 'Woah, I'm here!'," she beamed.

The team spent $9,078 on their guest bedroom this week.

Taking in the room, the judges were immediately drawn to the statement stripe linen Grafico wallpaper in charcoal and white.

"Shaynna thought the wallpaper you chose was phenomenal," said Scott Cam back at HQ.

Paige couldn't believe her ears as she left out a huge sigh of relief.

"That's brave," commented Shaynna.

While Marty said: "I have walked in here and I really feel at home. I just want to jump in this bed, the way that they've made it.

"This wallpaper, as you said, is absolutely stunning, very high end and it feels still coastal and beachy."

Darren thought their bathroom last week didn't give enough sense of 'Jesse and Paige', but this really does.

"This is a finished room, there's an ever so slight change of direction into something that's a little bit more classic and still cool," he praised.

"I think this is the right place to be."

Shaynna agreed with Darren saying the team have nailed just the right amount of 'coastal' into their design.

Taking traditional American Hamptons influence, Shaynna described their design style as "modern colonial".

Sounds like Paige finally has a name for her style!

But whatever the style in this bedroom was, all three judges believed the pair got it just right this week.

"I really like the blend of contemporary and traditional here," Darren praised.

"You've got square-set ceilings, you have a niche for the drapes - those little details really sit nicely against the stripes."

Running his hand along the wainscoting he continued: "You've got this colonial paneling and the paneling on the door and even the more traditional fittings, now it makes sense.

"They're on the right path," he added.

In fact, Darren thinks they should run with this style the whole way through the house!

Shaynna did have a few pointers, however, about paying attention to the little details.

She pointed out the clashing finishes referencing last week's brushed chrome against this week's brushed brass wardrobe handles, black wardrobe fittings and polished chrome door handles.

"I would say turn all these into a brushed chrome because it matches the look and feel," she advised.
