Their game plan was to sway away from the established modern colonial and infuse their light, bright and coastal vibes.
Their kitchen may have scored them the most points, but can their guest ensuite score their first win?
Scroll through to see what judges Shaynna Blaze, Darren Palmer and Marty Fox thought of House 1's guest ensuite.

Maddy and Charlotte spent $19,756 on their guest ensuite this week.
They kept the floor tiles consistent with the previous bathrooms (designed by Jesse and Paige) and added their own coastal flair.
"I feel like it's a beautiful room," said Maddy ahead of reveals.
"It feels like a holiday home bathroom so I'm excited to hear what the judges have to say about it."
Well, let's find out!

Walking into their guest ensuite, the judges held their cards close to their chests.
"It smells good," said Marty offering a positive comment. "You can see a real shift in style now, can't you?"
Shaynna was a little hesitant: "Yeah, we've got a little bit of greenery but that's the only colour in here..."
"Everything is completely neutral and textured," Shaynna continued.
With a surprise change of tone, she added: "It works."
"It really does," Marty smiled as he agreed.
"I find it's a more sophisticated palette to what Jesse and Paige were doing and so marketable to a very broad range of buyers."
Shaynna took in the girls' curved mirror, timber vanity and stunning champagne gold fixtures.
The timber vanity added warmth to the space.
"I think the mirror's gorgeous, I love the vanity, I love the marble on the benchtop."
But Marty did have one small issue...
And that is where the toilet was positioned.
"Having that toilet the moment you walk in, as opposed to being hidden by the vanity, I think they're actually the wrong way around."
Shaynna agreed.
Marty thought the toilet should have gone in between the vanity and shower instead.
On a positive note, they kept their gold finishes consistent!
And we must say, we love this sleek champagne gold flush plate!
As judging went on, Darren liked this bathroom more and more.
"There's really not a lot to fault," said Darren as he took in the stunning shower space.
With minimal styling, fresh white and grey tiles splashed the floors and walls.
"I like the tile choices, the large format is gorgeous," he added.
"All the brass detailing, it's a lovely colour palette," Darren continued as he ticked off the positives.
Even the shower door hinges and framing was in that stunning champagne finish.
