Kristian and Mimi's Second Guest Bathroom
In the words of Kristian and Mimi, this week on The Block "started off a nightmare and ended up OK".
After establishing their place in the competition as frontrunners, Mimi admitted that when it came to her second guest bathroom she was feeling "uninspired".

Despite a bit of a lacklustre week, Kristian and Mimi still presented a space that was worthy of winning.

Kristian and Mimi splashed $27,722 on their second guest bathroom.
That's a little bit more than the recommended $20,000 spend, but considering how much prize money the duo have won, we think they might be able to afford it.
Mimi was proud of the space they'd presented but admitted she felt a bit underwhelmed.
While Kristian felt the opposite and dubbed it his favourite bathroom out of all three they'd done up until that point.
The married couple kept their second guest bathroom consistent with the other bathrooms they'd delivered by using the same blue-green colour palette.
But they added a point of difference by changing their vanity colour and layout.
Would the 'same-same-but-different' approach work with the judges?
Marty opened the door and immediately broke out into a big grin.
"This is what I like. This is clean, marketable. It's just so well put together," he beamed.
Shaynna praised House 5's coastal colour choices.
"I love the beautiful blue and green, with the blue basin and the green in the vanity."
But when Shaynna looked up to see the off-centre timber panelling along the ceiling she felt it was disconnected to the rest of the space.
Kristian and Mimi had featured the ceiling panelling in their other bathrooms, but for Shaynna it just wasn't working in this space.
"I liked it in the other room because it balanced with the way the vanity went. In here it just feels odd," she said.
Darren agreed with Shaynna but his feelings were even stronger.
"I really dislike it. I really don't like it," he began.
"It's just an inclusion for the sake of an inclusion that doesn't relate to anything else. I have a problem with it. It makes the room imbalanced."
Of course, Marty didn't agree with Shaynna or Darren and said he was a fan of the ceiling panelling.
"For me, it actually warms up the room and I really like it," he said.
"It tells the story of the house, because it's consistent with all the other bathrooms and buyers do love consistency."
Well, if the buyers love it, keep doing it! Right?
Despite his disdain for the ceiling panelling, Darren thought there was a lot to like about Kristian and Mimi's second guest bathroom.
"I like the consistency. I like that on their marketing brochure that it's going to look like each room belongs to each other.
"They have tweaked things as well. This isn't the exact same as the other bathrooms."
