Watch: Styling expert gives Kylie and Brad invaluable advice on their 'all-black' vision and reveals how to tackle unique design ideas

EXCLUSIVE: Whether you love it or hate it, you have to admit that the all-black look Kylie and Brad are executing on The Block is an adventurous move.

But after the judges found their guest bathroom "too intense" and their scaled-back bedroom lacking personality, the Queenslanders were left feeling confused when it came to nailing the styling of their next room, the main ensuite.

Right on cue arrived Freedom designer Jack, and like an angel from above he was there to deliver some much-needed styling advice.

Initially Kylie felt concerned by the idea of someone trying to help her with her styling, but that all changed as soon as she and Jack got to talking.

In an exclusive interview with 9Entertainment, Jack also shared some of his top tips for home renovators when it comes to tackling unique design ideas.

With bold design trends like maximalist, monochrome colours and organic shapes making a comeback, Jack said it wasn't uncommon for home stylists to not know where to start.

When it comes to selecting a colour palette for a space, the interior decorator said you should "consider how you want the space to feel".

"Dark colours can create a moody atmosphere, while light colors offer a more relaxed, airy vibe. Think about how you'll use the space and the mood you want to evoke," he explained.

Once you've picked your colours the next thing to think about is texture and tone. It's especially important if you're going for a monochromatic look like Kylie and Brad.

"Use different materials to create texture and layers to ensure the space is not flat," Jack advised.

He encouraged Kylie and Brad to go for their all-black vision as long as they incorporated more natural timbers to balance it out.

And if you wanted to incorporate a daring colour or design into your home but weren't feeling up to the task of fully committing to the cause, Jack said that art and cushions were the way to go!

"Use artwork that reflects your personal taste and incorporate it into your space by repeating elements in cushions and décor pieces. This creates a cohesive look that ties your style together throughout the room," he said.

Jack also touched on the most common styling mistakes that home decorators make – failing to consider the layout and spatial awareness.

But there was one simple thing you can do to make sure you don't over clutter your space.

"Imagine yourself in the space, how you will be using it and how practical it is," Jack advised.
