It's even harder to forget the cheating scandal that rocked their season.

Co-stars Shannon and Simon broke The Block rules by hiding a phone under the bed to record exactly what the judges were saying. Usually, the contestants only receive judge feedback by hearing what Scott Cam reads out at Block HQ.

The boys were caught red-handed and Scotty, along with the other contestants were less than impressed.

But Michael and Carlene had some very interesting things to day about the ordeal.

"I wish I'd thought of it myself," Michael said of the boys' sneaky move.

While Michael and Carlene became known for their down-to-earth nature and positive attitudes, it was hard to keep a smile on their faces come Auction Day.

Despite all their hard work, the pair were crushed when they made just $10,000 at auction.

Michael and Carlene shared they were grateful for the "once-in-a-lifetime" opportunity but revealed their true feelings.
