Episode 15 recap: Disaster strikes again in Ricky and Haydn's bathroom and one team wins one of the 'biggest challenge prizes in Block history'

Guest Bedroom week is in full swing, and there's an exciting new visitor on The Block!

We don't know her name, but she has expensive taste. A mannequin in a rather polarising Gucci dress has appeared at McCafé and our teams, but especially Mimi and Courtney, are intrigued.

We also gain some insight into how our Blockheads prepare for the day. Mimi drinks hot milk, which Kristian finds deeply embarrassing, and Ricky eats granola with a fork.

It's exactly the type of prep he needs to handle curveballs, which is helpful because there are plenty of those here.

Over at House 4, everyone except Kylie believes their kids' room is coming along nicely. She's still frustrated about having to go against her initial plan for an older teen/adult room.

EPISODE 14: One team sack their builders in a fiery showdown and another are forced to stand down after breaking the rules

"I'm just down in the dumps because I'm not sure," she tells Foreman Dan, who can help with many skills... but styling is not one of them.

It's not all doom and gloom though, as Brad – who is both a sparky and a plumber in Queensland – has just been approved for electrical work in Victoria.

Kylie sees this as a money making opportunity. She can "pimp" Brad out to the other teams after-hours, when all their tradies have gone home. Ka-Ching!

Ahhh, what did we say earlier about curveballs?

Ricky and Haydn's main ensuite waterproofing, which has proved a very high mountain for them to climb, is yet again wrong.

They have to pull it out and do it all again. Yes, again.

We're starting to think this bathroom is cursed!

The boys say it's "devastating" they won't be able to finish that room for the second week in a row.

They send their waterproofer packing for good and now have to reconvene with another next week.

"It's costing money, and our time and our energy. It's brutal," Ricky says.

Shelley's here! She and Scotty go house-to-house with a surprise – and they're dazzling very nicely on her ears.

The earrings and the McCafé mannequin's dress are officially prizes! The winners of this week will receive $10,000 worth of fashion and an upgrade for their main wardrobes.

This week, Jesse and Paige are attempting to DIY the desk in their kids' room. Each team has $5000 from Mitre 10 to spend on a DIY project. If they can do it successfully, they'll win another $5000!

So of course, Scotty and Shell also drop in on House 1 to see how it is coming along. Jesse and Paige are yet to paint it, but the desk is in place and it looks great!

Scotty presents them with their $5000 prize for nailing it themselves.

As the day ends, the teams get to sanding their rooms.

There are many different techniques, including Grant's, uh, interesting moves:

The sun rises on a public holiday in Victoria and Scotty has just the thing to keep our Blockheads busy! A day on the water – with a massive prize at stake, of course. It's challenge time!

The teams gather and yes, we do just have to acknowledge the boys' pants:

Anyway! The teams are going fishing. Afterwards, their catches will be weighed and the winners will receive one of the biggest prizes ever: a Bar Crusher Boat!

Ricky could cry:

"I feel a bit queasy mate, I don't think I've ever been this nervous in my life," he says.

It doesn't take long for the teams to start reeling them in – even fishing novices Kylie and Jesse come through with some great catches!

Then comes a plot twist: at the weigh-in, Scotty and Shelley clarify that the teams are playing for the boat, but they're playing for the boat to come with their houses. Not for themselves!

Kristian had already started planning fishing trips in his head, but after the initial disappointment wears off everyone realises how HUGE this could be come auction day.

EXCLUSIVE: All Stars Alisa and Lysandra reveal why winning every room is not the secret to winning Auction Day

After the official weigh in, Ricky and Haydn come out on top... but no, of course, it can't be that easy.

Scotty then reveals another cruel twist in the challenge. Catching the biggest fish isn't enough.

The Blockheads next need to cook up their fish for a blind taste test. Whoever creates the tastiest meal gets the boat. We think.

The cooking is... chaotic. Paige suffers from a lot of dry retching, Courtney swigs wine from the bottle and Ricky and Haydn push their lack of kitchen skills to the absolute limit to make fish and chips.

Scotty, Shell and fishing expert Lee Raynor are the lucky, or unlikely, trio to judge the meals. Against all odds, the winners are announced...

And it's Ricky and Haydn! The boys are back, baby!

Can they turn that into a winning streak come Sunday? Tune it for our Guest Bedroom week Room Reveals to find out.
