The Block Auction Day 2026 Recap: Courtney and Sev make history with biggest-ever win, despite eleventh-hour curveball

The Block’s time in Mount Eliza has come to a stunning end with an incredibly successful auction day.
The season 22 finale has crowned its winner, but this year everyone walked away with life-changing money!
Your Block 2026 winners!!! Nine
Courtney and Sev are our 2026 champions, taking home $1.37 million in cash plus, in a Block first, $500,000 worth of extra prizes thanks to Scotty’s prize pool.
Not a bad day out!
That’s how the dominoes fell, but here’s how it all happened in the emotional finale:
Auction order and reserve reveal
New rules in Victoria meant we all knew ahead of time what all five homes’ reserves were.

But of course, we had to see the moment the Blockheads found out, too!
It wasn’t without drama! Chantel and Wyatt and Courtney and Sev had taken issue with things Lisa said in the media, so they arrived determined to stop whatever her, Rosco and Adam and Jolene’s plan was.
As for Rick and Tayla? Well, they were too occupied with trying to wipe off the coffee Tayla spilled on her dad’s shirt to worry about any feuds.
The teams uncovered their reserves (and lunch), and were delighted that it was lower than they had anticipated: $3.45 million.
It wasn’t long before the good vibes dissipated, though.
Lisa and Rosco came in all guns blazing, keen to go first or second. They said they wouldn’t go any later.
Adam and Jolene, after advice from Domain’s Alice Stolz, wanted to go first.
The other three teams did not agree with that 1-2 pop, so to avoid it being a lucky dip, everyone locked in the same order as their houses.
Buttttt after all that back and forth, there was a last-minute change just before things kicked off. House 2’s agent proposed a swap with the girls, who readily agreed.
That meant the final order was:
- House 1: Adam and Jolene
- House 4: Courtney and Sev
- House 3: Lisa and Rosco
- House 2: Chantel and Wyatt
- House 5: Rick and Tayla
Finally, it was auction time!
Nerves were through the roof, of course, but it turned out to be a day that left everyone happy, and with much heavier pockets.
Adam and Jolene - House 1
It wasn’t just the House 1 couple who were nervous to kick things off – this auction would set the tone for the entire day and every other team.
Thank goodness things looked great from the very first moment, thanks to Block royalty Danny Wallis.
“$3,501,000, minus 48¢,” he began. Classic Danny.
He was just one of nine registered buyers, though, and the others were quick to fire back.
Less than two minutes later, Adam and Jolene had earned a very tidy $410,000 profit!
“Does that buy you a lot where you come from?” Scotty joked, but Adam was so shell-shocked he couldn’t even answer.
But things weren’t done: $3.88 million came flying in, quickly followed by $3,895,000 million, $3.9 million and finally, $3,905,000 million.
Going once... twice... SOLD, for $455,000 profit.
What a moment. Nine
The rest of the teams let out a huge cheer – what a sign of things to come for them – and Adam and Jolene dissolved into tears.
“It changes everything,” Jolene said.
- Reserve: $3,450,000
- Auction order: First
- Sold for: $3,905,000
- Total profit: $455,000
Courtney and Sev - House 4
Courtney and Sev wanted to snag the lead, and they knew just how much they needed to do that.
They had a good start, with a VERY full room full of people with paddles.
And then BAM – a second bid of $3.7 million gets them immediately on the market with at least a $250,000 profit.
Danny fired back with a typically convoluted bid, which set off a chain reaction. It was bid after bid after bid, and just like that Courtney and Sev were in the lead.
“You’re going to make a million bucks,” Scotty said – a huge call that proved correct in a matter of moments.
Everyone’s jaws were on the floor as the girls hit $1.05 million profit and IT. JUST. KEPT. GOING.
They screamed, I screamed, we literally all screamed when a bid came in for $4.7 million. That was a $1.25 million profit!
ABSOLUTE SCENES. Nine
AND IT STILL WASN’T DONE.
“That’s so much money,” Lisa reacted, watching on.
“Lucky I’m friends with them,” Tayla responded. Indeed!
The hammer finally went down at an absolutely mind-blowing $4.72 million.
INSTANT MILLIONAIRES. Nine
Cue hugs, cheers and another correct prediction from Scotty that it was a result that was impossible to beat.
- Reserve: $3,450,000
- Auction order: Second
- Sold for: $4,720,000
- Total profit: $1,270,000 + $100,000 cash and $500,000 value of Scotty’s prize pool for winning
- WINNERS: $1,870,000
Lisa and Rosco - House 3
What an act to follow.
After letting Scotty down gently, informing him he was not in fact the namesake of their newborn child Jude, Danny Wallis raised the first paddle in House 3’s auction.
It looked like he had just one competitor for the house, as the price hit $3,831,001 ($381,001 profit), but then a mysterious blonde woman emerged.
“Where’d you come from?” Danny reacted, as the woman poked her tongue out at him.
OK queen! Nine
From there, things craaaaaaawled. Seriously.
It moved so slow that chairs were brought out in the contestants’ room, so the gals in heels can rest their feet.
Shoes off, even. Gotta do what you gotta do. Nine
There were $1000 bids, $2000 bids, $5000 bids and whatever else Danny felt like throwing out.
“Hey, can you pass me a sandwich?” Scotty asked the crew. This was dragging on so long it was eating into his lunch break.
Eighty-four years later, after a back-and-forth that rivalled the Australian Open, the blonde asked if she could hold the baby.
“You can hold the baby, hun, you can have whatever you want,” Lisa said.
The woman delivered a final $4 million bid, which, along with a baby cuddle I guess, was enough to win her the house.
We are 3/3!!! Nine
- Reserve: $3,450,000
- Auction order: Third
- Sold for: $4,000,000
- Total profit: $550,000
Chantel and Wyatt - House 2
Chantel said she would be happy with “anything”, so when Danny Wallis threw in a bid that was $250,000 above reserve, she immediately lost her mind.
It didn’t take long from there to reach a $330,000 profit.
“I would’ve been happy with $100,000, honestly,” Chantel sobbed.
It was Danny, Frank and another buyer’s agent going tit-for-tat in small increments, but soon a new bidder emerged.
Danny dropped out at $3,817,000 and then literally left the room.
... See ya? Nine
Then, boom – SOLD!
Chantel and Wyatt had earned a $367,000 profit, much more than they anticipated.
They did that!!! Nine
“It’s not what we were expecting, so we’re so happy with the outcome,” Wyatt said.
- Reserve: $3,450,000
- Auction order: Fourth
- Sold for: $3,817,000
- Total profit: $367,000
Rick and Tayla - House 5
It all came down to this – would Rick and Tayla make it five from five?
Scotty had high hopes, although he was a little worried about Rick and Tayla putting their future in the hands of a child.
“Your auctioneer looks 12, that’s a problem,” he reckoned.
That turned out to be an unnecessary jab because Ryan, who was actually 22, got things off to a stellar start.
He’d barely taken a breath before there was a $4 million bid from Danny.
Scotty nearly jumped out of his skin!
WOAH. Nine
It soon jumped up and up and up, before stalling temporarily at $4.2 million.
But the auctioneer was not deterred, as he expertly pried out an extra $100,000 out of the bidders, went toe-to-toe with Danny and complimented Frank’s “muscular legs”.
Not bad for a 12-year-old, hey Scotty?
Pop off, baby auctioneer! Nine
Frank’s buyer dropped out at $4,325,000 and then – boom – another buyer, a mystery couple, threw out a $1000 bid.
That heated things up again, as they went back and forth with buyer’s advocate Andrew Date until it landed with a $900,000 profit.
Andrew delivered one final bid at $4,355,000 – then it was going once, going twice, SOLD.
We are FIVE FROM FIVE BABYYYY. Nine
Rick JOLTED up in celebration and I think, perhaps for the first time ever, Tayla was rendered speechless.
- Reserve: $3,450,000
- Auction order: Fifth
- Sold for: $4,355,000
- Total profit: $905,000
With that result done, Courtney and Sev earned a very comprehensive victory.
They did it! Nine
What an end to a mammoth season in Mount Eliza – an absolute runaway success with five pleased, deserving teams.
Time to celebrate … but maybe not quite like Tayla and her not-actually-12-year-old auctioneer, who jump straight into the pool.
HOW GOOOOOD. Nine
Congratulations, Blockheads!
