Even with the odds stacked against them, in a market dubbed one of the toughest in 20 years, Courtney and Sev’s house was a property everyone just had to have.

“It’s so much more than we could’ve ever dreamt of. Never in a million years could we have ever dreamt of that happening,” Courtney told nine.com.au

“And in this market,” Sev chimed in.

In a dire market plagued by rising interest rates and declining clearance rates, Courtney and Sev’s result was nothing short of a miracle.

“Everything has just lined up and we’re so happy and so grateful,” Courtney said.

The best-friends said they had big plans for what they’d do with the $1.27 cash but remained tight-lipped on what the plans actually were.

They did reveal plans to go on an overseas holiday along with Sev’s husband Nelson.

Courtney and Sev were still running on the high of their million-dollar-plus win but were hopeful that their co-stars would be just as successful.

“We’re hoping for a 100 per cent strike rate today. It would be so amazing if everyone sells,” Courtney said.

“It would be amazing if we were to take the title but if we don’t, we are so chuffed and so grateful for what we’ve achieved.”

Courtney and Sev’s auction moved at lightning speed. By the second big they had established themselves as leaders over Adam and Jolene.

By the end of it all they’d sold their house for $4,720,000 making them a profit of $1,270,000.
