‘Eat your words’: Block 2026 winners Courtney and Sev’s message to doubters who called them ‘crazy’ after $1.87 million win

Exclusive: Courtney and Sev are officially the winners of The Block 2026!

The besties made history when they bagged the biggest-ever prize in 22 seasons of the competition after making $1,270,000 above their reserve, plus $100,000 cash and Scott Cam’s $500,000 prize pool for winning.

But they had a strong message for nay-sayers who called them “crazy” three months ago for picking House 4, which had limited water views compared to the other houses.

The pair said they had a gut feeling when they first stepped into House 4 all those months ago.

“It just spoke to us ... the beautiful floor plan, the views from both levels, the flow and then Sev just put her amazing flair on it,” Courtney told nine.com.au.

“We fought like crazy to get House 4, and what did they say? That we were absolutely batshit?” Courtney told cameras.

Sev agreed: “They definitely thought we were crazy for dismissing those views but you can eat your words people, because we’re the winners!!”

In the end, the pair thought that House 4’s bigger land size and better layout made it a more sought-after home for buyers.

“It was always a goal to try and create a beautiful unique home that just wasn’t cookie cutter,” Sev said of their ultimate plan.

Courtney joked she still had trauma from building Sev’s elaborate designs.

“They were so epic to do in one week but I couldn’t be prouder!”

“We are feeling overwhelmed, grateful ... it doesn’t feel real,” Sev cried.

“I don’t think it’s going to sink in until I sink about 20 beers,” Courtney added.
