Exclusive: Chantel and Wyatt may have broken the record for first Block team to never win a room, but they were finally vindicated after they won $367,000.

“The anticipation was really killing me but we’re at the end of it now and it’s the best thing ... we couldn’t have predicted this outcome,” they told nine.com.au minutes after their auction.

Without a single room win under their belt, Chantel and Wyatt were the clear underdogs going into auction.

Chantel noted that with no wins, they had less prize money to spend on their build throughout the competition, so she was extra proud of what they’d achieved.

They fought tooth and nail for second auction position until their agent threw in a last-minute curveball and suggested they move to fourth position less than an hour before auction.

But over time, Chantel and Wyatt learned to just trust the process.

“I can’t even think about all the things that went wrong when we were building the house, but we just won so much money it’s so insane,” Chantel squealed.

Overwhelmed by the emotion of it all, Chantel teared up as she imagined breaking the life-changing news to her three children and her parents.

The duo ruffled feathers at times but they had “no regrets” about their Block experience.

“We had an awesome time, an awesome experience, made some awesome friends. Honestly, to walk back into what we created, it’s just crazy. We’ll never get the opportunity to build or make something like that house ever again,” Wyatt said.

Things eventually reached $3,817,000 at which point Danny Wallis bizarrely walked out of the room indicating he was out of the race.

But Chantel and Wyatt didn’t care their house had been sold to another buyer and they were $367,000 richer!
