Occupation: Furniture designer, landscape business development manager
Although not having a lot of renovating experience, Courtney and Grant built and styled their own home in western Sydney.
Grant is a landscape business development manager, which he hopes will give him a boost come the latter stages of the competition.
In her day job Courtney works as an event account manager at a major events hire company.
She also has a growing online furniture business called The Lazy Stylist which came in very handy during Living and Dining Week...
Courtney and Grant: Season 20
After delivering their living and dining spaces, the judges fell in love with House 2's dining chairs.
To their surprise, the chairs were Courtney's own design!
"Have you ever seen dining chairs like this before?" Shaynna said in awe.
"They're so cool!"
Ricky and Haydn: Season 20
Occupation: Plumber, IT Manager
Ricky, 34, is a plumber by trade and the owner of his own plumbing company in Victoria.
As far as renovating experience goes, Ricky has renovated his apartment in the Melbourne suburb of Seaford, and admitted he blew the budget by $70,000.
So while not much experience renovating, he certainly has the worth ethic and skills to be on The Block!
While Haydn has worked as an IT manager he is always keen to give things a red hot crack.
Maddy and Charlotte: Season 20
Occupation: Graduates and house flippers
Maddy and Charlotte's renovating experience became one of the biggest kept "secrets" this season.
But when you rewind the tapes, it wasn't exactly a secret. They did mention their years of house flipping to Mimi, after all.
Maddy is an accounting graduate and knew she didn't want to be in accounting forever.
Charlotte is a business graduate, but the girls have a whole wealth of experience renovating under their belts...
Maddy and Charlotte: Season 20
At ages 21 and 19 respectively, Maddy and Charlotte saved up enough money to buy their first house, a shack in Newcastle.
The shack in Newcastle has since been renovated, subdivided and sold.
They now have three builds on the go with more planned, while still juggling their odd jobs and working in the family business.
Go, girls!
Kylie and Brad: Season 20
Occupation: Business owner, electrician and plumber
Kylie and Brad haven't had much experience in the renovation game, only building the home in Cairns they live in now, but that hasn't hinder them on The Block.
As for work, Kylie is a hairdresser and wholesale and supply business owner.
While Brad runs his own successful business in Cairns as a double trade, electrician and plumber.
Brad hoped to use his double trade as an advantage, to save money and get the job done.
Kristian and Mimi: Season 20
Occupation: Electrician, restaurant manager
Kristian is an electrician by trade and dreams of one day starting his own business.
"I think this could be a stepping stone in doing that, just to gain the confidence to start my own thing," he said heading into The Block.
While Mimi managed her family's successful Vietnamese restaurant.
Together, the couple have renovated their Adelaide home, but they still call themselves new renovators.
They won't be calling themselves "new renovators" after their time on The Block!
Kristy and Brett: Season 19
When Kristy and Brett's tiler had a medical emergency, Brett was able to leap in and lend a hand to their replacement.
This saved their budget and allowed he and wife Kristy to deliver their studio bathroom on time.
"I'm a former tiler, but I don't want to tell people that," he said heading into the competition. "I want to keep it a surprise."
And a surprise it was – especially to hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft!
Steph and Gian: Season 19
After winning The Block 2023, Steph and Gian launched their own homeware business called Japandi Estate.
Gian stepped away from his previous role to support their new business "110 per cent".
With their business thriving, the All Stars returned to The Block's 20th season and their very own product featured in Kristian and Mimi's winning main bedroom.
