The expectant mum posted a carousel of photos, one of her cradling her bump, others with her husband of 13 years Cyrus Moran, another with her sisters and parents as well as some snaps from the work studio.
“Some snaps of life with bump over the months 🩵,” Abo wrote.
Friends, family and co-workers were excited to see the journalist entering this new phase of life.
“Oh Sarah I cannot wait for him to be born! My heart melts knowing what wonderful parents he’s going to have ❤️ sending so much love your way hun and keep resting up!!! You’ve earned it x,” friend Stephanie Coral said.
“The two pregnant ones with the flattering angle 😂😂😂So excited ❤️,” fellow pregnant Today presenter Danika Mason commented.

“Copped a bit of a curveball last week with high blood pressure and have been in and out of hospital since,” Abo posted to social media.
“Thankfully I’m in the safe hands of magnificent doctors, nurses and midwives taking incredibly good care of bub and me and we are both well.”
Abo was ordered to bed rest while the remainder of her pregnancy is monitored.
“Which means I won’t make it back to Today to say goodbye to all you wonderful people before so abruptly heading off on maternity leave... I’m sorry,” Abo wrote.
Co-host Jayne Azzopardi wished the team had the chance to give Abo a proper maternity leave send-off.
“She hasn’t had the easiest pregnancy, I wish it had been different for her because she deserves that, but I said to her, hopefully having a bit of a rough pregnancy means she’s going to have a dream baby and I can’t wait to meet him because she’s going to be the best mum,” Azzopardi said.

Abo announced she was expecting in March. She revealed the emotional news while on the Today Show, revealing the struggles that she and her husband Cyrus had overcome to reach this point.
“Cyrus and I are expecting a little baby,” she said at the time.
“I know it’s obviously very happy news, but it hasn’t been the easiest journey to get here, which I know a lot of our beautiful viewers out there have been through this and are feeling this right now, because it’s not as easy as some might think pregnancy is.
“It’s been a bit of a bumpy ride, but here we are and it’s getting harder to hide.”

After sharing the heartbreaking news the pair experienced two miscarriages last year, the host revealed she was just past her halfway mark with this pregnancy.
“I’m still finding it hard to believe that it’s happening and I will lean in and enjoy it, but a lot of people understand what it’s like to have this cautious optimism,” she admitted at the time.
She also hoped by sharing the news she could help other women who have struggled to conceive.
