Sarah Abo is the co-host of Nine’s breakfast show, TODAY.

Sarah Abo brings great experience to TODAY following an impressive career at 60 Minutes, and SBS’s World News and Dateline programs where she covered major international events including the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, the 2015 Paris Climate Conference and in 2016, both the US presidential election and the ongoing conflict in Afghanistan.

In 2017 and 2018, Sarah also covered the refugee crisis in Lebanon, Turkey and Greece.

In 2014 Sarah completed a fellowship at CNN headquarters in Atlanta.

In between overseas assignments she has reported headline-making news stories in Australia, especially in her home-state Victoria.

At 60 Minutes, Sarah interviewed former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamed, Climate activist Greta Thunberg in an Australian-first, and met some extraordinary individuals having an impact on the world.

Sarah started her career at Network Ten, spending two years in the Adelaide newsroom before making the move back to Melbourne. In 2013, she joined SBS as a journalist and presenter.

Melbourne-based Sarah was born in Damascus in Syria and moved to Australia with her family when she was four.

Sarah announced her pregnancy live on television on March 11, 2026. The baby boy is due in late 2026.
