Jimmy Bartel and his partner Amelia Shepperd have shared the surprise news that they’ve welcomed their second bub, his fourth.
The AFL legend made the announcement on Instagram on Wednesday night after the couple kept the news private during her pregnancy.

Alongside a black and white snap of himself in hospital scrubs, Bartel, 42, revealed they welcomed a second daughter and shared her gorgeous name.
“Kaia Rae Bartel. 28.10.2026,” read the caption.
“Our beautiful little girl was in a rush to join our family. Aston, Henley and Paloma already adore their little sister.
“How lucky is she to have @milly_shepperd as her beautiful mum.”
The post was flooded with congratulatory messages from famous friends who wished them all the best during this special time.
“Congratulations guys. ❤️,” commented fellow AFL great Joel Selwood.
“!!!!! This is amazing news. Enjoy this time, so happy for you!” wrote Paralympian swimmer Ellie Cole.
“She's here! Congratulations family,” TV host Jacqueline Felgate wrote.
Another follower commented, “Congratulations! Two boys and two girls! Lucky man.”

Bartel and Amelia are already parents to Paloma Lucie, who is three.
The former Geelong football star also shares two boys with his ex-wife, fashion designer Nadia Bartel, Aston, 10 and Henley, seven.
The former couple split in 2019 after five years of marriage and 11 years together.
Bartel and Amelia went public with their relationship in early December 2021, although they reportedly started dating months earlier in July.
The couple announced that they were expecting their first child together in October 2022, just a few months after their one-year anniversary.

At the gender reveal they shared that they were having a baby girl.
“Baby Bartel, you're already so incredibly loved,” the footy star captioned the short video at the time.
His sons, Henley and Aston, were at the party, popping a balloon that exploded to reveal a flurry of pink confetti.
Ahead of Paloma’s birth he admitted he was ‘scared’ to father a daughter.
“I am petrified at the moment. (We are) having a little girl. My two older sisters only have boys. This is my mum's 11th grandchild and this is the first girl,” he told the Herald Sun.
“A few things are going through my head, well how do I do their hair. So, I am a bit scared to be honest.”
