Kelsey Grammer slammed by his ex-wife for allegedly ‘forgetting’ daughter’s birthday

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Camille Grammer has publicly blasted her famous ex-husband Kelsey Grammer for allegedly “forgetting” his daughter Mason’s 25th birthday.

Camille, 58, made a scathing post on her Instagram story, accusing the Frasier star, 71, of forgetting Mason’s birthday, which was last week.

Camille also posted a photo of Kelsey holding Mason as a baby, with a clown emoji covering his face.

The image was accompanied by a lengthy caption that read: “A daughter should never have to wonder whether her father remembers her birthday. Three days later, and still not a call or a text.

“You can be a beloved actor to the world, but being a father is a role that requires showing up when the cameras are off. Fame, accolades, and public admiration mean very little if you neglect the people who should matter most.

“Some wounds come not from what is said, but from the silence.”

Camille added that she was heartbroken for her daughter.

“A mother never stops hurting when her child is hurt. 25 is a milestone birthday. Sometimes the silence is deafening, and the disappointment speaks volumes,” the post continued.

In an additional note under the caption, she explained that her daughter had been “checking her phone all weekend hoping her father had called.”

“She even [checked] from an unfamiliar number or that his message had somehow ended up in her spam folder. She even checked there, searching for any sign that he had reached out,” she added.

In a comment under her original post, Camille alleged that the dynamic between Mason and her dad had deteriorated since he married his current wife, Kayte Walsh.

“A stepmother should want to encourage a healthy, loving relationship between a father and his daughter,” she wrote.

“Sadly, from my perspective, that hasn’t been Mason’s experience. Instead, she has felt increasingly excluded from her father’s life and home.

“No matter the adult relationships involved, a daughter deserves to feel welcomed, respected, and loved – not pushed to the sidelines.

“A 25th birthday should be a celebration of love, not another reminder of the distance between a father and his child.”

Camille and Kelsey share two children together, Mason and their son Jude, 22.

The former couple were married from 1997 to 2011.

But this is not the first time Kelsey has been accused of being an absent father.

His daughter Greer once revealed on a podcast that she had no contact with her father from the ages four to 16.

“I think that’s the biggest misconception about me ... my dad left when I was four and then I didn’t meet him again until I was 16,” she said on the Pretty Basic Podcast last year.

Kelsey remarried Kayte in 2011, and they have gone on to welcome four children together, Faith, 14 and sons Gabriel, 12, Auden, nine and Christopher, one.

Kelsey has eight children in total.

He shares his eldest daughter, Spencer, 43, with his first wife, Doreen Alderman. He shares his second daughter, Greer, 34, with ex-wife, Barrie Buckner.
