One week after getting married, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have made their first public appearance as newlyweds.

The couple resurfaced at Kansas City Chiefs teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster’s wedding, offering fans their first glimpse since their ultra-private New York ceremony.

Guests at the ceremony told People Swift wore a strapless pink gown paired with her trademark red lipstick, while Kelce opted for a grey suit as the pair celebrated alongside the Smith-Schuster’s family and friends.

The outing comes after the singer and NFL star exchanged vows during a lavish ceremony inside Madison Square Garden, where they were surrounded by an estimated 1,000 famous guests.

Their wedding remained almost entirely under wraps thanks to a strict no-phone policy, but while photos remain closely guarded, new details about the ceremony have continued to trickle out over the past week.

Sports broadcaster Rich Eisen confirmed Jason and Kylie Kelce’s four children, Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett and Finnley, served as flower girls during the ceremony.

“Those four little girls who were sprinkling flower petals all over the place. It’s pretty cool, dude. It’s pretty cool,” Eisen told Entertainment Tonight.

Another behind-the-scenes detail emerged on Friday, with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani revealing Swift had covered more than US$160,000 ($230,083) in permit costs associated with the A-list event.

“That was a permit that was finalised days before the event itself,” Mamdani said in the press conference.

The permits, lodged in the days before the wedding, allowed roads surrounding Madison Square Garden to be temporarily closed while guests arrived and departed under tight security.

The wedding itself was officiated by actor Adam Sandler, while Swift’s brother Austin served as her “Man of Honour” and Jason Kelce stood beside his younger brother as best man.

Outside the venue, giant digital screens lit up with the message “JusT&T Married” moments after the pair were pronounced husband and wife.

However, the Cruel Summer singer’s Dior wedding gown is ready to be shown to the public once the star shares it herself.

The fashion house confirmed to The New York Times this week that while the official imagery is ready, they are holding back until Swift shares the first look on her social media pages.
