Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially married, and there’s no doubt the couple is combining more than just their lives and families.

Each arrived with their own gigantic fortune as well (although let’s be honest, Swift’s money blows his out of the water).

Swift is the wealthiest female musician in the world, but Kelce has had more than a decade of NFL contracts (and brand deals!) to build up a decent chunk of cash himself.

Keep reading for everything to know about the couple’s finances now that they’ve officially tied the knot – from net worth to, yes, a rumoured prenup.

Taylor Swift’s net worth

In June, Forbes estimated Swift’s net worth to be $2.8 billion (US$2 billion).

This includes the $864 million value of her music catalogue, which she purchased direct ownership of in May 2025, and $154 million in real estate.

Swift, 36, first reached billionaire status in 2024 thanks to her Eras Tour, which became the highest-grossing concert tour in history with estimated revenue of $3.1 billion.

She used the cash from the tour to purchase the masters for her first six records for an estimated $520 million.

This move, plus royalties and sales of her 2025 album The Life of a Showgirl, bumped her net worth significantly.

“By March 2026, her net worth doubled to $2 billion, making her the richest female musician in history,” Forbes wrote.

Swift is the first musician to become a billionaire strictly off earnings from her music and performances.

Travis Kelce’s net worth

He may not have billions, but Kelce’s bank account is doing just fine.

Since joining the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013, Kelce, also 36, has made $159 million in career earnings.

In August 2025, Forbes estimated the three-time Super Bowl champ to be worth $100 million to $115 million.

Most recently, the tight end extended his contract on a three-year deal worth a mammoth $82.6 million, although he’s unlikely to see it all.

Kelce will earn $17.2 million in 2026, with the potential to make an extra $4.2 million if he meets unknown incentives. But beyond the 2026-27 season, the majority of that money could simply vanish if he decides to retire (or is let go by the team).

Kelce has also diversified his income outside his day job, which is important as retirement looms.

In August 2024, he and brother, Jason Kelce, signed a three-year distribution deal for their podcast, New Heights, with Amazon Wondery valued at $143 million.

Both Kelce brothers are also majority owners in Garage Beer.

Kelce also has a lot of experience with ads and brand partnerships, doing work for brands including American Eagle, Pfizer, Bud Light and Campbell’s Soup.

He’s also an ambassador and investor in theme park Six Flags, which we presume means he gets free rollercoaster rides whenever he wants.

Do Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have a prenup?

We don’t have confirmation from Swift or Kelce, but with this much wealth on the line it is almost guaranteed the pair signed a prenuptial agreement before marrying.

British journalist and gossip columnist Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice reported as much, saying a source had confirmed Swift’s father, Scott Swift, helped oversee an “ironclad” agreement that both his daughter and new son-in-law completely support.

Her father is a former stockbroker and financial adviser, so not a bad person to have leading the negotiations.

While we are unlikely to ever know what’s in the prenup, Kalpaxis Legal founder and principal lawyer Cassandra Kalpaxis told nine.com.au a solid document would not only lay out things as they currently stood, but prepare for circumstances to change, whether that was through children, retirement or something such as permanent disability.

Kalpaxis said all of us, even if we aren’t blessed with bank accounts like Swift or Kelce’s, should consider a prenup, called a binding financial agreement in Australia.

Pushback usually centres on it being “unromantic” to think about things going wrong, but Kalpaxis said we needed to “move past that old-fashioned idea” and acknowledge that marriage is a contract.

It makes sense that celebrities such as Swift and Kelce – who are no strangers to contracts, and used to seeing themselves brands or businesses – would engage lawyers before tying the knot.

It is, ultimately, about future-proofing – the same way we would for anything else.

“We don’t just ‘hope for the best’ in other parts of life,” Kalpaxis said.

“We don’t do that with our health … you wouldn’t get a blood test and not ask for the results,” she explained.
