All the intimate wedding details Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce didn’t want you to know
The rumours were true: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s fairytale wedding took place at Madison Square Garden over the weekend, and now all of the details are starting to come out.
The duo have officially tied the knot and despite the NDA’s every guest reportedly signed, details have started to leak and we’ve started to get some of the details about what went on during the special day.
Details from their emotional 20-minute vows
The couple reportedly exchanged vows that were around 20 minutes each, and were read from little gold books.
The singer left her new husband “very emotional” and in tears with her heartfelt declaration, according to an insider.

“Taylor talked about how Travis was the guy in high school who, even though he was the star athlete, would go sit with the less-popular kids who were being bullied at lunchtime,” the source told People.
“And Taylor talked about how she wished she knew someone like that when she was in high school. It was so special.”
Another source echoed the sentiment and told NBC News “Travis was very emotional during the vows.”
“You would think the bride would be the one crying more, but it was actually Travis that was more emotional.”
But it wasn’t just the NFL star who got choked up during the ceremony, with the Swift also getting teary at one point.
“Taylor looked tearful during a part in the vows where he promised to protect her forever,” an insider told the Daily Mail.
The source added that Kelce seemed very “nervous” but managed to keep it together during his vows.
Good Morning America host Robin George also revealed a little bit more about the moment Kelce and Swift declared their love for each other in front of their friends and family.
“Everything you would hope for. Real, vulnerable, serious and silly, deeply loving,” she said of the vows.
Adam Sandler’s advice for the newlyweds
The Madison Square Garden ceremony was officiated by Adam Sandler, and he gave the happy couple one simple piece of advice.
Andy Reid, Kansas City Chiefs coach, was at the wedding and spilled some new details about what the actor and comedian said as he got them married.

“He said kiss every chance you get – every chance you have, every single day,” Reid said during an interview with CNN.
“So whether you’re going to bed or going to work … go ahead and kiss her.”
“And I thought that was … in a simple way, in its simplest form, really, was touching that way.”
Reid was full of praise for Sandler and the “phenomenal” way he officiated the ceremony.
“In a simply, hysterical way, he was a phenomenal … he’s crazy, but he did a great job in getting them married with a lot of humour but that part there I thought, pretty good advice, in its simplest form,” he added.
Donne Kelce sums up the big day
The NFL star’s mum, Donna Kelce, has weighed in on the big day and while she didn’t reveal much yet, she summed it up with one word.

The 74-year-old was asked about her son and Swift’s wedding day during an interview for Macy’s Fourth of July Celebration in New York City.
“I really can’t say a heck of a lot except it was magical, man. Magical,” she gushed in the video shared on Instagram.
An A-list performance
With Swift having so many connections to the music industry, it’s no surprise that there was an A-list performance at the reception – but this one was special.
“After the ceremony, Taylor’s mom, Andrea, invited everyone into the reception room where the stage was set up,” an insider told People.

Paul McCartney performed the beloved Beatles hit, I Want to Hold Your Hand.
It was the first time in 60 years he performed the song live, making it a truly special part of the wedding day.
The Beatles last performed the song in September 1964 at the Paramount theatre in New York. Until now, McCartney had never performed it in public since.
Stevie Nicks reportedly performed too.
Wedding a “once in a lifetime” celebration
A secret garden and a “spectacular” celebration are some of the ways guests have described the big night on Instagram.
Sports show host Pat McAfee commented on the wedding beneath a picture of him and his wife dressed to the nine’s for the event.

“What an absolutely legendary evening... CONGRATS to Travis and Taylor. That was absolutely f----ing spectacular. Thank you for inviting us to your once in a lifetime celebration of love and life,” he wrote.
The CEO of AMC Adam Aron wrote a lengthy X post describing the wedding before quickly deleting it, but that didn’t stop fans from screenshotting and sharing the details.
“It did not look like Madison Square Garden,” he wrote. “Immediately upon entry, everything, floors, walls, ceilings... was draped in peach and white.”
“Large blown-up pictures of Taylor and Travis at each age, year by year from one year-old to late teenage-hood were on display.”
He went on to say as he entered the arena, the space opened up into a gorgeous garden landscape.

“Somehow, magically, someone created an outdoor garden at a lush countryside retreat. Everything draped off this time in green and white. Real flowers and I think artificial trees welcomed fifteen rows of maybe 75 chairs.”
He continued, saying the wedding felt “intimate and small,” despite the 1000 attendees.
Other guests echoed the garden-scape element, referring to a garden party in their Instagram captions.
One guest told People Magazine that the venue “looked like a forest,” while another revealed Paul McCartney took to the stage to perform the hit song I Want to Hold Your Hand. Stevie Nicks was also one of the reported A-list performers.
Monogrammed gifts for guests
Guests walked away from the wedding of the decade with a hand-embroidered handkerchief, featuring the couple’s own monogram with the date and “New York City” also embroidered onto the cloth.
A quote from Swift’s song Blank Space was featured underneath the monogram, reading: “So, it’s gonna be forever...“in a cute nod to one of Swift’s biggest hits, which Kelce has mentioned is one of his favourite songs from his now-wife.

The pair have both previously spoken about how “excited” they are to spend “forever” and “the rest of their lives” with one another.
The handkerchief was reportedly given to the guests during the ceremony in case they got teary-eyed during the couple’s 40-minute-long vows, according to People Magazine.
They reportedly read their vows from little golden books, hosts of Good Morning America revealed on air today. It’s reported they spoke for about 20 minutes each.
Guests also received some kind of embroidered enclosed case or envelope that was sealed with a gold wax seal featuring the same monogram.

It featured the name of the guest - perhaps a place card? We know this because guest Atipa Mabonga posted a photo of it to her Instagram story.
The T&T monogram was everywhere on the night, including on the apparent cocktail menu featuring three custom drinks made by the couple to celebrate the event.

There was “The English Teacher”, referring to Swift, which was made from gin, elderflower, lavender syrup and fresh lemon juice.
“The Gym Teacher”, representing Kelce, was made from tequila, mezcal, angostura aromatic bitters, orange bitters and agave.
There was also the T&Tequila, featuring blanco tequila, hibiscus-infused chilli, agave, pineapple, fresh lime.
The moment they tied the knot
MSG’s official Instagram page confirmed the news with a sign outside the mammoth venue, which simply read: “Just&t married.”

US outlets, including People Magazine and Page Six, have reported that Swift walked down the aisle to a string-instrument version of one of her own songs, wearing a gorgeous gown with a long train.
The pair both reportedly cried while reading their vows to one another, according to Swift’s aunt Robin Gentry, who was caught by paparazzi as she was leaving the venue.
“They cried, and they laughed, and they danced, and they hugged, and they kissed,” she told LBC News.
An A-list officiant
Swift’s representatives have confirmed that, surprisingly, it was Hollywood funnyman Adam Sandler who officiated the wedding. It was also revealed that the wedding party was a lot smaller than many had anticipated.
“Taylor & Travis did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, her brother Austin Swift served as Taylor’s Man of Honour and Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man,” a statement read.
“The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler.”

The dress
We’ve yet to see a glimpse of it, but Swift’s representative also revealed details everyone’s been talking about – the dress.

“This is the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. Their shoes were custom made by Christian Louboutin and the bride wore Cartier jewellery.”

Swift and Kelce’s love story
The couple’s romance first began in July 2023, when Kelce attended Swift’s Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium.
He wanted to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, but he failed to meet her and said he was “butt hurt” about it on his New Heights podcast.
In a later interview with WSJ Magazine, Kelce explained how he finally connected with Swift. Somebody in her team had passed on his number and he got an unexpected text.
“She told me exactly what was going on and how I got lucky enough to get her to reach out,” he told the publication.
“There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was. I had somebody playing Cupid.
“Not long after, Swift was spotted attending her very first Chiefs game in September 2023.
She was sitting in Kelce’s suite alongside his mother Donna, dressed in a Chiefs jacket and cheering as he scored a touchdown.
Swift kept attending Chiefs games to support her new man, while Kelce was seen at her Eras Tour shows across North America.

The romance went from strength to strength, and in a full-circle moment she even appeared on his New Heights podcast where she announced her new album to the world.
In August 2025, every Swifties’ dream came true when the couple announced their engagement – and it turns out, it took place on the same day as the New Heights podcast was being recorded.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Taylor captioned a post of the couple’s romantic flower-filled proposal.
