Aussie pop queen Delta Goodrem has shared an emotional update on her recent rib injury, revealing previously unseen footage from hospital visits and MRI appointments immediately after she was hurt.

In a video posted to Instagram hours before she was slated to return to the dance floor on Strictly Come Dancing in the UK, Goodrem revealed the physical and emotional battles she’s faced over the last two weeks.

The footage begins with a shot of Goodrem, 41, sitting on a hospital bed and describing the intense pain she’s feeling.

“Praying that everything is OK,” she tells the camera.

“Feeling a little nauseous from the pain.”

A second clip shows Goodrem the next day at an appointment for an MRI scan. Dressed in a hospital gown, she admits she’s worried about the outcome.

Another clip, seemingly recorded hours later, shows Goodrem breaking down as she relays the news that doctors diagnosed her with a fractured rib.

“I feel very, very gutted about [it]. Hopefully, I’ll get back next week. That’s the plan,” she said through tears.

The video then shifts to clips of Goodrem resting at home and receiving flowers from her loved ones.

“I got a little bit anxious. Got a long way to go before feeling like dancing, but time is of the essence. We must start getting the muscles moving,” she said in the clip.

“My first walk was a success, and I went to the chemist and got all sorts of vitamins and good things that can help. I feel it every single step I take, but again, this is a part of the process.”

Later footage showed Goodrem taking FaceTime dance lessons from her Strictly Come Dancing partner Kai Widdrington, with husband Matthew Copley standing in for him until Goodrem was well enough to return to the dance studio.

The final clip shows the Aussie darling dancing confidently once again.

“I filmed little moments over the past two weeks to remind myself that even on the frustrating days, there would be progress,” Goodrem captioned the post.

“I was gutted when the injury happened as I’ve been truly loving this experience so much.”

“It’s hard to be patient when you want to be full force again, but I’ve been listening, taking things carefully and learning to appreciate the small steps!” she added.

She expressed her gratitude at being able to return to the dance floor with help from everyone around her, and finished with a message to her fans.

“To all my warriors out there in your own battles I see you and am with you - we are fighters,” she said.
