However, the show announced that Goodrem and her ballroom partner Kai Widdrington will not be competing this week due to an injury.
“Due to injury, Delta Goodrem has been advised by doctors to rest and as a result, will not dance on this weekend’s Strictly Come Dancing,” the show’s official Instagram said in a statement.
“In line with the rules of the show, Delta and Kai will receive a bye through to next week when it is hoped they will be able to dance again.”
The statement ended with the show wishing Goodrem a speedy recovery.
Goodrem also released a statement via the show, writing: “I’m absolutely gutted that a rib injury means I won’t be able to dance on Strictly this week.
“I’ve been loving every second of this experience, so having to sit this one out is heartbreaking – especially after the high of Saturday night.
“I’m going to focus on resting and recovering, and hopefully I’ll be back on the dance floor very soon.”
The statement ended with Goodrem thanking her fans and her fellow cast members for their love and support, before saying: “I’ll be cheering everyone on from the sideline’s this week!”
Goodrem and Widdrington topped the leaderboard last week with their Salsa performance, which was given a score of 33.

Judge Anton Du Beke said the duo were “setting a very high bar” this season, while Craig Revel Horwood described the performance as “amazing.”
Goodrem has been rehearsing for seven hours a day in preparation for their weekly Saturday night performances.
The Lost Without You singer joined the cast of the 24th season of the ballroom competition show off the back of her standout performance representing Australia at Eurovision.
Despite Goodrem’s performance being a fan favourite, she missed out on claiming the Eurovision crown.

The singer contained her reaction after her loss, counting down to the end of the voting with her husband Matthew Copley by her side.
“That’s it,” she said in an Instagram story, before going to her husband’s side and hugging him.
Australia placed fourth with 287 points, behind Romania with 296 points, Israel with 343 points, and the winner Bulgaria, who won with 516 points.
