Kim Kardashian breaks silence over brutal F1 reporter snub: ‘Did I not know the rules?’

Kim Kardashian has addressed the viral snub she made on the F1 grid with iconic Sky Sports reporter Martin Brundle earlier this year.
The 45-year-old reality star turned entrepreneur, who is currently dating Lewis Hamilton, broke her silence on the June blunder at the Singapore Grand Prix.

Months ago she was in Monaco to support Hamilton and during the grid walk she was approached by Brundle – who has become known for his impromptu interviews – although she clearly wasn’t interested and brushed him completely.
But there was a change of heart at the recent F1 event and she even joked about the brutal moment with the reporter.
Kardashian bought up their first encounter as they chatted on the grid in Singapore.
“Did I not know the rules? Did we get off on the wrong foot?” Kardashian joked as she spoke with Brundle.

Brundle laughed it off and told her it was fine, while he welcomed her to the Singapore race.
He then asked what she thought about Formula 1.
"I think it's amazing and wild and something that I have never seen before. It's amazing,” she said.
Brundle’s questions then moved to Hamilton, who she has been dating for around nine months now.
"[Lewis] is [in great form]. I am just praying for the best tonight. He is very confident and so am I. Just got to pray for the best,” she added.

Earlier this year Kardashian’s snub of Brundle went viral, with many F1 fans slamming her online for her behaviour.
At the time the moment started a lot of conversation online and many people pointed out that being on the grid walk, there’s plenty of media around and it’s almost expected to engage.
But others defended the Kardashian’s star, noting that there’s never been an expectation that the wives, girlfriends or partners of drivers will do media.

The Skims founder has become a familiar face on the F1 circuit, supporting her partner and attending several of his races in recent months.
But away from the sport, things appear to be going from strength to strength for the couple, who have started to become regular features on each other’s social media pages.
Hamilton and Kardashian have been sharing an intimate look into their relationship, from enjoying trips away with her kids to candid date nights.
