Kim Kardashian reportedly blindsided Kris Jenner by including alleged affair in book
Kim Kardashian has reportedly shocked mum Kris Jenner by including details of the 70-year-old’s alleged affair in a new book.
Kim, 46, may be the subject of author Jonathan Van Meter’s Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future, her first authorised biography, but the book reportedly includes plenty of intimate details about her famous family too.

The book includes reports of an alleged affair Kris had three decades ago – something the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch wasn’t too pleased to hear about.
Van Meter told The Hollywood Reporter that Kim called him after Kris found out it was going to be in the book and “flipped out”.
“She was yelling, ‘Why did Kim drag us all into this? Why is my affair from 30 years ago in the book?’ Two days later, Kris was fine,” he told the outlet.
“Kim said to her mother: ‘All this stuff gets written about us, and then a guy comes along who gets us and wants to explain us. Why wouldn’t you want that?’”
According to Van Meter, the whole explosive exchange was caught on camera for the family’s reality TV show The Kardashians.
He did not share the identity of Kris’ alleged affair partner.
Kris has previously confessed to cheating on her first husband Robert Kardashian, father to Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Rob Jr, with Hollywood animatorTodd Waterman for several months in 1989.

“I think that I fell into a situation where I thought that the grass was greener somewhere else,” she said on The Kardashians in 2023.
“And I made a huge mistake. That’s like my life’s biggest regret.”
Kris and Robert divorced in 1991 and she went on to marry Caitlyn Jenner, who was known as Bruce before coming out as transgender in 2015, that same year.
They had two children, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, before they divorced in 2015. Kris has been dating Corey Gamble since 2014.
Kim’s explosive biography will hit shelves on October 27 and is rumoured to contain new information about the star’s life away from the spotlight, but one central character will be missing: her ex-husband Kanye ‘Ye’ West.

Van Meter said that despite Kim confirming West would speak to him for the book, Van Meter did not end up interviewing the rapper due to his erratic behaviour.
Though West did not provide an interview or any other contributions, his relationship with Kim and their four children will likely still feature.
