RJ Mitte’s sister breaks her silence weeks after Breaking Bad star’s tragic death
RJ Mitte’s sister Lacianne Carriere has broken her silence to relive the gut-wrenching moment she learned he had died by suicide.
The young actor, who played Walter White Jr. in the hit series Breaking Bad from 2008 to 2013, died on October 12.

Carriere, 22, posted a series of photos and videos with her big brother to Instagram on Saturday with a raw caption where she called Mitte, who was just 34 when he died, her “other half”.
“There are just no words. You were just here... your strawberry Fanta was still sitting on my coffee table when I got the call,” she wrote.
“Life hasn’t felt real since then. RJ you were my everything. I just lost my other half. I lost my brother but I also lost my father.”
Carriere went on to say that so much of who she is today was shaped by Mitte’s influence, from her taste in music and films, to her love of collecting things.

RJ Mitte’s poignant comment in final interview just days before his death: ‘Keep pushing forward’
“Since the phone call I’ve been sitting around with your closest people almost every night sharing the craziest stories that could never be said anywhere else and god that was just you,” she continued.
“You were the life of the party, coolest guy that we all tried to keep up with but never could. You made me, me.
“We had so much more to do, so many more memories to be shared and I don’t know if my heart can ever be whole again after losing the biggest piece of it.”
Carriere confessed that she wishes she had her brother to support her as she learns to navigate the grief of his passing.

“You would put on some lofi music and tell me to get up and go sit in the shower, how it always makes you feel better,” she wrote.
“I know you’re telling me right now that I’ll be okay though I don’t know how I will. But I promise I’m going to do my hardest and I promise your love will always live through me until the day I see you again.
“I loved you completely. And you loved me the same. That’s all. The rest is confetti.”
Those last lines are a quote from the Netflix horror series The Haunting of Hill House, in which a group of siblings try to cope with losing their sister to an apparent suicide.

Carriere’s post was flooded with messages of love and support from family, friends and fans of Mitte’s.
He has been remembered for his acting as well as his work as a disability advocate who drew on his own experiences living with cerebral palsy to campaign for change.
Carriere also spoke at her brother’s funeral, where his own mother Dyna Mitte chose not to speak.

“It’s hard enough to plan a funeral or a celebration of life – to know that you’re waking up without your son or daughter and will never see or hear them again,” Dyna said.
“I’m in a slightly different situation because I can watch his movies or listen to his speeches, but that in itself is overwhelming.
“To then stand up and share all of that with people was not something I felt prepared to do on that particular day.”
