Spice Girl Mel C, 52, marries Aussie model Chris Dingwall in private country wedding

Spice Girl singer Melanie Chisholm has reportedly tied the knot with Aussie model Chris Dingwall in a private English countryside wedding.

The star, 52, who is better known as Sporty Spice, has married for the first time in a low-key celebration attended by all but one of her Spice Girl bandmates.

The Sun UK reported Geri Horner aka Ginger Spice as the first of her bandmates who were spotted arriving at the nuptials.

She arrived alongside her husband Christian Horner, formerly team principal of Red Bull Racing F1 team, with the couple snapped driving into The Country House Cumbria.

The lavish venue is owned by West End performer Ben Forster, who has been close friends with Mel C since they co-starred in the 2013 production of Jesus Christ Superstar. 

According to multiple reports, Horner, Melanie Brown and Emma Bunton attended while bandmate Victoria Beckham and husband David Beckham were unable to attend because they are in the US for the World Cup.

Posh Spice still managed to play a big part in Mel C’s day, reportedly designing a white backless wedding gown.

After years swearing she’d never marry, Mel C had a change of heart after meeting her Australian partner Chris Dingwall.

Dingwall is an Aussie model, actor, and screenwriter in his late 40s.

The pair crossed paths on a dating app and went on their first date in November 2023.

“Nobody knows this, but we actually met on Raya,” Mel C said in a 2025 interview on Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne’s Life Uncut podcast.

“I don’t know how much to divulge, but I was in a relationship previously,”

The star, who was previously linked to producer Joe Marshall through 2022, recalled thinking to herself, “I never want to meet anyone ever again.”

“But then you get to this point, and it’s usually on a drunken night out with female friends, and it’s like, ‘You gotta get back out there. You gotta start dating,’ so that’s when the Raya thingy, the profile, was set up,” she said.

Mel C was in London when she matched with Dingwall, who was in Sydney.

Despite the distance between them, Mel C knew she had a DJ tour planned in Australia and thought he was “worth pursuing”.

The day of their date, the singer landed in Sydney around 7am and “kept busy all day” before meeting up with Dingwall, who’d booked a dinner reservation.

“It was hard to get into, so I was like, ‘I don’t want to let the dude down,’ right?”

“And we’ve been together ever since,” she said.
