The Block fans know Scott Cam as the lovable former carpenter who keeps charge of the Block site and contestants, dishing out advice, moral support and judge feedback as needed.

What we don't get to see on the show is Scott's family life, which is something he keeps largely private except for the occasional Instagram post.

And that's where he recently gave us a rare glimpse into his off-camera world, with a joyful photo of himself with his twins.

The snap was taken during celebrations for Bill and Sarah's 21st birthday.

"From little things big things grow," the proud father wrote. "Happy 21st birthday to my most favourite twins. I love you."

Scott and his wife Ann are also parents to oldest son Charlie. All three children joined the 57-year-old on Father's Day for a family get-together.

"Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there," Scott posted of the celebrations. "We're not quite as good as the mums, but I reckon we're in the grand final. Thank you to my beautiful kids for a great day today."

The Cam men also got together to cheer on the Sydney Roosters when the rugby league returned to TV after a hiatus during the coronavirus pandemic.

Scott and his sons made the most of stay-at-home measures by playing a fun game of pool, complete with drinks.

It wasn't all games during isolation, with Scott revealing to 9Entertainment that he stayed busy with DIY tasks for himself and the family. The extended time at home came courtesy of a production shut down on The Block site because of COVID-19.

"I did a lot of jobs when I was in lockdown for the six weeks," he said. "I built a knife stand for my Japanese knife, a voice-over studio, I did a renovation on my son's room — I did lots of things."

For Scott, family is extremely important so it was a joy for the host to have a large group together last Christmas, back when we all could have gatherings of that size.

But for Scott family isn't just made up of human members, it also includes the four-legged kind as well. He added rescue dog Frankie, a Tan KelpieX, to the clan in July 2019.

And just like Bill and Sarah, Frankie got a birthday shout out on Instagram this year too.
