Room Reveal: Chantel and Wyatt’s Main Bedroom and Walk-in Robe
It got off to a rocky start, but week three has been the team’s strongest yet.
“This week was a headache,” Wyatt told producers. Mixing some dental issues through the regular Block chaos left Chantel and Wyatt on struggle street. But they pulled it together and delivered the judges an almost entirely completed room.

“This is very light, white and bright,” Darren said as soon as the judges walked through the doors to see the couple’s walk-in robe.

Marty was quick to point out that the wardrobe featured “absolutely zero styling”. Chantel didn’t deny the accusation, telling Scotty that she and Wyatt simply ran out of time.

The judges were quick to compliment the stone chosen for the benchtop. “I think it’s incredible,” Shaynna said. But, she wasn’t too impressed with the how “plain” it was, explaining that a previous team had put “a bit of personality” into their room.

While they weren’t entirely unimpressed, the judges simply couldn’t move past the lack of pizzazz in the wardrobe, continuously commenting on the lack of styling and the sheer amount of white. “It’s lacking emotion ... it’s just a bit boring to be honest,” Marty said.

They were impressed with the amount of storage, but were simply let down by the lack of attention to detail. However, all three judges quickly changed their tune when they walked down the hallway.

“Two different spaces,” Marty pointed out before the judges all began to describe every detail they loved about the bedroom.

Darren said “love” about eight times while waving his hands toward the bed. “The bed, the bedhead, the cushioning, that long cushion, the simplicity of it, yes yes yes, yes yes yes,” he exclaimed. Marty also said that the venetian was done “to perfection”.

Chantel let out an excited gasp when Scotty told the couple that Shaynna thought the room was “perfection for the brief”.

“The side tables are beautiful, but I need a drawer,” she said. “What makes minimalist so beautiful, is that you can hide your stuff. And here there’s nowhere to hide anything.” Chantel admitted that the couple took a risk, but it was a small downfall in an otherwise perfect room.
