Kristian and Mimi described Living and Dining Week as "long" – and we don't blame them!

Between a plaster disaster, a surprise challenge and yet another public holiday, there was lots to do in very little time.

Coming off a not-so-great score last week, Mimi was hesitant. "I feel like I don't trust my styling anymore," she admitted.

On the plus side, she had a $100,000 Camerich voucher to splash thanks to their first Room Reveal win!

Will it be enough to dazzle the judges?

Kristian and Mimi spent $14,552 on their living and dining room this week, generously under the recommended budget of $25,000.

They do have one of the smallest spaces on The Block this week, and the only space situated upstairs.

"I hope the judges go in there with the sun shining through and they see how amazing of a space we do have up there," said Kristian ahead of reveals.

Walking into House 5's living and dining room, the judges did notice how much smaller it was compared to the other houses.

"There's not much space... and a little bit dark in here," noted Darren Palmer – until he asked 'Alexa' to open up the spectacular room-width blinds.

"Stunning," Shaynna Blaze beamed.

The judge noticed the beautiful view coming through the window and said it had great buyer appeal.

"That is one of the most amazing features of this property," she began.

"These windows and the fact they are the only one with a view of any description."

Marty Fox agreed and could see the vision from where he was standing.

"And that would be the balance with the buyers, having size over view," Marty began to explain.

"Being the only [house] that gives you that view, will retain a portion of the market."

Darren loved their dining table that was beautifully matched to the kitchen.

"I think those tones of walnut are really, really nicely matched," he praised.

"It's got a really soft sort of pink to it," he said as he ran his hands across the table's top. "Which works beautifully with these chairs as well."

Check out that stunning fan-inspired ceiling light! The waves, the dry palm – it certainly brought all the island vibes.

"I think it's a really lovely match," he smiled.

Keeping with the earthy tones and pops of sage green, Kristian and Mimi created quite the gorgeous table centre piece.

Shaynna however, did not love their chosen table...

"I find this table a barrier," she said as she stood in the entry way on the right.

"You're walking in here and you're going straight into the dining table. You're not going into a walkway," she explained.

"To me, because of the size of the place, I would have preferred a round table.

"And I would have preferred chairs without arms," Shaynna continued. "Because it would feel lighter."

At least they got the texture and colour right!

Marty was fine with the table and the chairs. His concerns however were with the lounge area.
