The Block’s Kylie Baker surprises fans with baby number five announcement

The Block 2024 star Kylie Baker has seemingly announced the birth of her fifth child.
The former Blockhead, who appeared on the show’s Phillip Island season with husband Brad Baker, posted a sweet black-and-white photo holding the hand of a newborn, captioned: “One week with you.”

She hashtagged the post with “#littlestlove”.
Kylie did not share any further details of the baby’s name or gender, but the fifth child joins siblings Parker, Bentley, Steele and Slade.
Former Block castmate Paige Beechley, who recently welcomed her first child with husband Jesse Maguire, liked Kylie’s post, which also received a flurry of congratulations from her followers.
The announcement came as a surprise to many, with Kylie opting to keep most of her pregnancy offline.
She initially confused everyone with an announcement posted on April 1, leading many to question if it was an April Fools’ Day joke.
At the time, she shared footage as she posed covered in black paint while cradling her bump.
“#borntoraisehell,” Kylie captioned her post, along with a coy “shh” emoji.
Kylie did not tag or mention Brad in either announcement. She had previously removed his name from her Instagram bio last year, amid speculation that the pair had parted ways after The Block.

They had a famously rocky experience during the series, where they initially ruffled feathers with their all-black style choices.
Kylie then left the show early after Brad admitted to flirting with another Blockhead, Mimi, during a late-night get-together.

Kylie did not take part in the season’s final Clubhouse Week of building, but returned for the auction.
She and Brad walked away with an incredible $650,000 profit, and told nine.com.au at the time that the money was worth all the hardship.
“I think we’re definitely stronger after it. To walk away with something and it be worth it, 100 per cent,” Brad said.
