Holiday Home Makeover With Rachel and Ryan's Guest Bedrooms before and after: In pictures
Rachel and Ryan Carr were fan-favourites of The Block in 2022 and now the couple are on the tools again, this time on their very own show Holiday Home Makeover.
In this brand new renovation series, the husband-and-wife duo makeover their dream holiday home.

The couple purchased a house in Coolangatta on NSW's South Coast and are completely revamping the place to make it the perfect holiday location for not only their family, but others as well.
Each week, Rachel and Ryan will makeover a different room to help bring their ultimate family escape to life – which means room reveals every episode!
In Episode Three, the couple tackled three guest bedrooms, each with their own unique style and flair, as well as an additional work-from-home space.

Guest Bedrooms | Before
In Episode Two, Rachel and Ryan delivered three guest bathrooms, each with their own unique colour scheme.
That idea flowed into the bedrooms, as Rachel decided each room would match its corresponding bathroom.
That meant by the end of the week, they would have one green, one pink and one blue bedroom.

Guest Bedrooms | Before
Like the rest of the house, the bedrooms were pretty dated.
To freshen things up, they first completely stripped the house and reframed the rooms.
This room – the smallest of the three – started a pastel blue room, and a blue room it would remain... but with a more modern, luxe look of course.
Rachel had a lofty goal for the guest rooms.
"We wanna make sure that anyone staying in this home feels like they're in the best room," she explained.

Earlier in the reno, Rachel and Ryan pulled down the brick wall separating the home's "massive" garage and the rest of the house, so they could use that converted space to fit in more bedrooms and bathrooms.
Some of this space would become the largest of the three bedrooms – the green, kids' room.
Blue Bedroom | After
The blue bedroom was the smallest space this week, but Rachel and Ryan still managed to give it plenty of personality.
The room featured a queen bed with a very plush bed head, neutral bedding and cushions with very subtle blue tones to compliment the blue of the walls and marble side tables.
Rachel and Ryan selected heritage profile skirtings and a Dado Rail, splitting the wall between deep blue paint and light, patterned wallpaper.
Plus, what's that on the ceiling?
"I'm just not a fan of a fan, aesthetically," Rachel had argued.
But Ryan won this round, as they added a fan for comfort on those hot summer nights.

One of Rach's secret weapons for elevating the bedrooms was with the wallpaper.
It was actually custom made to match with the Dulux paint choices.
It may of taken a full week to wallpaper all of this week's rooms... but hey, at least it came out looking amazing!

During Episode Three, Rachel took a tour of some of the South Coast's most luxurious holiday homes.
And along the way, she scored some major inspo.
"We decided on a hydration station," she said.
"Everything that you need in that room if you don't want to go out in the morning is right there for you."
This meant, adorable little Smeg fridges, kettle and coffee machines in the bedrooms – with colourful tea cups to match the decor, of course.

Green Bedroom | After
The green bedroom was the biggest space, and also the one designated as a space for kids.
However, as this would be a holiday home, they wanted to toe the line and ensure it was a place adults would be happy to stay too.
"We wanted to be a little more playful, but we also don't wanna have a 50-year-old woman that has to stay there and think 'why is there a life-size giraffe looking at me?'" Rachel explained.
"Or a Wiggles bed," Ryan laughed.

To make it both kid and adult friendly, they decided on two bunk beds with doubles on the bottom and king singles on the top.
The room was styled with earthy green toned cushions alongside natural and cream tones.
Again, they included Dado rails to break-up paint and wallpaper on the walls.

Plus, it got the all-important tick of approval from Rachel and Ryan's three kids!
