Han and Can's Kids' Bedrooms

Off the back of placing last in Week 1, Han and Can hoped to get Week 2 of The Block off to a better start.
In a nutshell, they described Kids' Bedroom Week as "stressful" which is no surprise considering they had to present two completed rooms.

Despite the pressure, the girls managed to secure their first win in the shape of a challenge win that saw them take home $10,000, a Bromley artwork and a bonus point gnome.
The girls also made two very bold decisions this week: the first was to present a nursery and the second was to ditch carpet and stick to hardwood flooring.
Would those big calls pay off for Han and Can?
Scroll through to see exactly what judges Shaynna Blaze, Darren Palmer and Marty Fox thought of Han and Can's Kids' Bedrooms.
Going into judging, Han and Can were feeling "really confident" with the rooms they delivered.
"We know that the finishes aren't quite there but the vision is just magical and creative and we're hoping they like that," Can said.
With a recommended budget of $15,000, Han and Can stuck mostly to it with a total spend of $15,477.
Stepping into the first nursery room, Marty was immediately "engaged".
Looking at the bedhead and recessed arch feature Marty said: "This is going to jump out of the phone on Domain."
While Shaynna loved all of the individual features she didn't think any of them worked together.
"I love the cloud bedhead. I think the arch is cute. I love the style of furniture. Adore this rug, fun artwork, but together, it's too much and it's not functional," she declared.
Shaynna felt confusion over Han and Can's decision to present the space as a nursery and felt even that hadn't been executed properly.
"A baby is going to be standing up, touching that light. A baby is not going to be drawing, and it's overwhelming."
Marty tended to agree with Shaynna and thought that styling this space as a nursery was a major mistake.
"There are many more buyers with children than those with babies," he said.
"It's too niche. This room is going to jar the market."
It wasn't all bad news. Darren admired Han and Can's commitment to drama and was a huge fan of the arched niches.
Unlike Shaynna and Marty, he could deal with the space as a nursery and felt it was an easy fix for buyers who wanted to change it.
"The bedhead is central so you can put different beds here. You can definitely make this change and grow with the kid."
That's it Darren! We like positive thinkers!
Not so fast there, there was a choice even Darren couldn't get behind.
As beautiful as the hardwood flooring was, he thought carpet was ultimately the right choice but one that perhaps was too late to be undone.
"This hardwood flooring on a slab in the country, especially in a little kids room?" Darren thought it would be way too cold.
There's the prized Bromley artwork Han and Can won in the bedhead challenge.
