Courtney and Grant's Second Guest Bathroom

Grant's said it before and he'll say it again, this week on The Block was "chaotic" for House 2.
Courtney and Grant were feeling shaky at the start of the week off the back of some not-so-favourable feedback from the judges.
But even still, the pair decided to take a bold step with their second guest bathroom.

The star of the show was a feature striped shower wall. Would it be the wow factor the judges were after or would it be too polarising?
Scroll through to see what judges Shaynna Blaze, Darren Palmer and Marty Fox thought of House 2's second guest bathroom.

Courtney and Grant spent a generous $27,573 on their second guest bathroom which is a dash over the recommended budget of $20,000.
Would the extra dosh pay off for the couple? We'll soon find out.
With an eye for design, Courtney had a clear vision in mind for the second guest bathroom.
She aimed to keep it consistent with the other bathrooms by using the same marble and travertine materials and keeping to the same neutral tones.
But of course the terracotta and bone striped feature wall would be a point of difference.
"It sounds really intense but I think it's going to work," Courtney quietly hoped.
Walking into the guest ensuite, the judges were hit smack-bang in the middle of the eyes by that striped wall.
"Whoa! Wow! This is full-on but is it for the right reasons?" Marty wondered.
The answer, in his opinion, was no.
"This marble and the vanity is probably the only thing that I'm loving about this bathroom," he said.
Marty was also quick to notice that House 2's second guest bathroom was much larger than House 1's.
While usually you'd think that would be a bonus, Marty didn't see it that way.
You see, Courtney and Grant had actually altered their floor plan and taken space out of the second living room to expand their bathroom.
"I think that fundamentally doing that is a massive error from a real estate perspective," Marty declared.
Shaynna interjected for a moment to share her thoughts but Marty couldn't be stopped.
While Marty had loved Courtney and Grant's Moderterranean vibe thus far he thought the striped wall in particular was "just pushing it too far".
Marty continued his tirade: "This will not translate well into a marketing campaign.
"I feel like this looks like the Phillip Island's kids' maze.
"I absolutely hate it!"
Ouch, that's harsh.
Marty's disapproval was a far cry from his former opinions of Courtney and Grant's home.
Just weeks ago Marty said he'd love to buy House 2 himself (if it was allowed of course).
"For me it's just a miss," Marty huffed.
"This is now two weeks in a row where Grumpy [Grant] and Courtney are actually making me a bit grumpy," Marty continued.
"I'm not picking up what they're putting down."
Marty handed over the talking stick to Shaynna but she was still feeling overwhelmed and taking it all in.
The realtor quickly retrieved the talking stick to point out that Shaynna's overwhelm was "part of the problem".
"That's exactly how a buyer will feel."
