Tension rises as one team fails to lock in plans ahead of Block's 'biggest prize ever': 'It's impossible'

It's been two weeks since Scott Cam announced "the biggest prize ever for a challenge in Block history".

With a ginormous $260,000 Titanium caravan up for grabs for Auction Day, it was about time the teams got stuck in.

Only one team had fallen drastically behind, all thanks to one crucial decision.

Teams were tasked with transforming Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa, renovating a designated spa room from rubble to luxury.

With a $23,000 budget each and complete creative control, teams had the first big choice to make: their tile choices.

All but House 2 had their materials selected and a tense Han and Can could feel the pressure mounting.

In the Beaumont showroom, Can was desperately trying to make a decision with Han.

"It's literally impossible to try and keep you happy and not have you here and try to do this," Can plead to Han on the phone.

Just as Han explained: "It's really hard for me to understand what you just saw and make decisions."

So Can walked away with no decision locked in. The other four teams however, had their potentially winning designs secured.

House 1's spa room

Emma and Ben will be using dark and moody tiles throughout their room. Check out that gorgeous stone slab!

House 3's spa room

Britt and Taz are sticking to their signature beige palette.

House 4's spa room

Sonny and Alicia are opting for calming and neutral tiles.

"It's super neutral, hopefully it's calming and I might try and run some timber and greenery," Alicia explained her vision.

House 5's spa room

While Robby and Mat plan to make a splash! They are mixing it up with warm peach colours and patterns.

Just like their houses, all five spa rooms will have an identical layout meaning their chance at winning this year's mammoth prize comes down to their choice of materials and quality of finishes.

Each room must include tiles, a bath with tapware, somewhere to hang a bath robe and a space for belongings.
