The beloved TV host became 'Pop' when Scotty's son Charlie and his partner Amber welcomed a beautiful baby girl named Tiggy six weeks ago.

"My wife [Ann] and I are so excited to welcome her to the world, she's extremely beautiful," Scotty, 62, shared in an interview with 9Entertainment.

"We love the name Tiggy. And she was born with blonde hair, because both her parents are naturally blonde, and all the nurses were coming it to see the blonde baby because it's very rare to have a blonde baby."

With filming of The Block in its final few weeks, he had lots of grandparent plans for his time off.

"In two weeks, I'll be home and looking forward to starting our relationship really, I suppose. I'm very excited to spend a lot of time with her and do that.

"It is a different feeling [to being a parent], it's the next generation of your blood, and it's quite surreal to be in that," he said.

Being host of The Block was certainly a unique job, requiring Scotty to pack up and temporarily move to different locations for a few months each year.

Scotty said it was "a privilege" to live like a local and enjoy the many lifestyles across Victoria, with his only condition each year being that he needed a four-bedroom home to stay in.

"It's got to be four bedrooms, because all my kids come and visit me, and their partners, for four or five days," he explained.
