This week was nothing but "chaos" for Courtney and Grant aka 'Grumpy'.

"Everything was so just so rushed," Grant said.

On top of that, the couple faced a few setbacks with Scott Cam delivering Grant a punishment for bailing on the weekly challenge.

That's not to say Courtney and Grant's week was all bad. Their new builders arrived and they couldn't be happier with their quality and work ethic.

Would a new builder lead to even better results for our resident Moderterraneans?

You could say Courtney and Grant blew their budget this week with a total splurge of $27,638.

That's just a touch over the recommended spend of $16,000, but given they'd cut back on previous rooms the duo wanted to invest in their main bedroom in the hopes of winning a buyer over.

Courtney and Grant were pretty chuffed with what they'd managed to pull off.

"In terms of styling, we definitely put a lot more effort into this room," Courtney said.

"We have a fireplace, nobody else has a fireplace, and it's a bit more exciting this room than our other rooms."

Would the judges think the same?

Darren Palmer was the first to walk in the room and he instantly fell in love.

"This is visceral. I can feel it," he beamed.

Shaynna thought Courtney and Grant had nailed their Moderterranean vision.

"It's like nothing we've seen before," she raved.

"It has a very Italian feel to it and it's not an easy style to do."

Shaynna applauded the couple for presenting a style with a point of difference.

"This is what I want to see if I'm going to a holiday house: something completely different, something unique."

To get to Courtney and Grant's main bedroom you have to walk downward through a passage.

It was a dramatic entrance that the judges couldn't get enough of.

"They've got that gorgeous arch and the curved ceiling. They've created a mood and essence," Shaynna applauded the couple.

The sunken velvet bed was a huge hit with the judges.

Shaynna couldn't help giving it a bit of a trial run herself.

"Oh my God, that's so soft," she said, getting comfy on the mattress.

Shaynna pictured families congregating in the main bedroom and sitting on the soft bed edge during late evening chats.

"Imagine all the kids just sitting there, because there's nothing worse than the beds with the timber edges that scrape your shins."

We all know Marty loves to call a record room and he's gone and done it again.

He labelled Courtney and Grant's main bedroom "the most marketable room we've seen so far on The Block".

It's a title Courtney and Grant are happy to claim.
