Watch: Mimi knuckles down after making a candid confession about her time on The Block – as Freedom designer Jack swoops in to help

It's been a hectic week on The Block for Mimi, but even she admitted it was time to put all the drama behind her and knuckle down.

The timing of Mimi's change of heart couldn't be better because she and Kristian were working with All Stars Alisa and Lysandra to renovate the shared Clubhouse's outdoor kitchen and cinema.

Realising that Alisa and Lysandra aren't afraid to work hard, Mimi followed their lead and pulled up her socks.

"I'm very very excited and I'm also very intimidated to be working with [Alisa and Lysandra] I just don't want to let them down. I know that they're such hard workers," Mimi said.

Mimi candidly admitted that reflecting on her time on The Block that perhaps she could've worked harder.

"I'm nervous for them to watch this season because I definitely have not pushed myself," Mimi confessed.

But with new team mates, Mimi was keen to change her tune.

"It's time to get serious, it's time to do some work," she declared.

And that's exactly what she did! It all started with Mimi getting serious about making selections for the outdoor kitchen.

Mimi was all ears as Jack shared his wisdom with the designer also revealing some of his key tips and tricks for designing an outdoor kitchen.

Jack warned that it's easy to get swept up in all the shiny kitchen appliances on offer but he encouraged home owners to think practically before purchasing anything.

"I'd suggest thinking about which option truly fits your lifestyle. For example, if you're more likely to order pizza than make your own, a pizza oven might not be the best choice," Jack said.

One item Jack thought was worth splashing cash on in an outdoor kitchen was a mini refrigerator to keep drinks cold. We'll cheers to that!

He is also encouraged home stylists to have storage front of mind when buying furniture.

"Versatility is key – opt for seating that doubles as storage and can be easily moved when you need extra space," Jack advised.
