How did the experts' Block 2024 auction predictions hold up? From judge Marty Fox to Dan and Dani, who nailed it and who missed the mark
In the lead up to The Block 2024 Auction Day, everyone from the judges, Dan and Dani and even the viewers predicted who they thought would win.
Now the results are in, with Maddy and Charlotte becoming the youngest-ever winners of The Block with a $1,650,000 profit.

Following the auction, judge Marty Fox has responded after his prediction of the very specific way the day would pan out eerily came true.
"Yep...I called it!. 5th Auction would win 😜," Marty wrote on his Instagram stories alongside an screenshot of the Blockheads' shocked faces.
You heard he first, Marty thought the final team to go to auction would win. Nine
So what exactly did Marty project would happen at auction?
All throughout the season and after it, Marty made no secret of the fact that Courtney and Grant's Moderterranean pad was his favourite and he thought the pair "would fly" come Auction Day.
Courtney and Grant didn't just fly, they soared and won $1,350,000.

Despite it being his favourite, Marty didn't necessarily declare Courtney and Grant would be the outright winners.
He thought much of it would come down to the auction order itself.
"My gut feeling is either the boys, or whoever is the last house to auction will be taking out the win this season," he told Domain in the days prior to auction.
Marty wasn't the only Block star on the money when it came to predictions ringing true.
Dani Wales, one half of the beloved Dan vs Dani duo, had her bets on Maddy and Charlotte winning also.

"On paper I would've said House 2 but now that I've seen the home come together I think House 1," she said.
"Particularly since the girls have come into the game, I think they've really injected themselves into that home.
"It's really beautiful I love the separate studio apartment with its own access. I think that's brilliant.
"It doesn't mean that it's my favourite over all, I just think they're going to win."

While husband Forman Dan didn't correctly predict the winners (he chose Kristian and Mimi) he was right when it came to who would land last.
Dan and Dani both agreed that Kylie and Brad would be the "chumps" of the season.
Despite awarding them wins for their living, dining and kitchen spaces, Dan thought they got their upstairs space "all wrong".
The couple agreed the all-black style would be too polarising for buyers who wanted to "set and forget" the property and not have to make any changes after purchasing.
Technically, Dan and Dani were right but we think it's hardly fair to call Kylie and Brad chumps considering they walked away with $650,000.
