Yellowstone's costume designer Johnetta Boone on dressing Kevin Costner and TV's most iconic cowboys
EXCLUSIVE: When it comes to dressing a cowboy, Yellowstone's costume designer Johnetta Boone is a master in the industry.
But it seems she met her match in Kevin Costner.
Joining the hit-drama series in Season 2, she's the face behind the iconic looks of TV's most famous fictional family in recent years.
The final installment of Yellowstone will premiere Monday November 11 only on Stan.
The head of that family is John Dutton lll, played by Hollywood legend Kevin Costner who Boone admitted "put her to the test".
"I must admittedly say, what surprised me most about working with Kevin Costner is how nice he was," she told 9Entertainment.
"Initially, he did put me to the test when we were originally introduced," she smiled.

Boone revealed that while they were doing a fitting, Costner would question some of the pieces she brought in. He of course, had his own ideas of who John Dutton would be.

"He'd try on some pieces and look at me and say, 'But you want me to wear this, don't you?'" she recalled.
"He would try on the other pieces but he would almost always go back to the pieces I pulled together because there is always a message within the pieces I'm creating," she said.
"He would say 'OK, you twisted my arm' or he'd say 'I'm so glad you forced me to wear this' and we would laugh, he would giggle and it was great."
The incredible symbolism and attention to detail is what makes Boone so in tune with her role in Yellowstone, on top of her 30 years plus experience.
It's these finer details fans might have missed.

The character Rip Wheeler for example, she revealed wears black as a reflection of his character "not existing".
"Kayce, he's always in earth tones because he's a bit more grounded. Being that he's from military he's always in the trenches," she explained.

"Jamie is always very sharp because he is such a strong political figure."
While Beth is a "bit more delicate".

"She's so modest, Kelly Reilly is [the actress behind Beth], so it's nice to be a combination of those two things, being modest and strong at the same time."

With Yellowstone's final ever episodes airing next week, Boone said "it's bittersweet" to see the series ending.
"The final few days on set were super busy. It's almost as if no one realised it was the last few days of filming because the show is so explosive," she smiled.
"We were very much in the throws on what typically happens on Yellowstone."
With explosive scenes set to happen Boone laughed: "We've been really blessed with not having wardrobe malfunctions in the middle of a take, but certainly things can happen."
Yellowstone's final installment premieres November 11, the same day as the U.S., only on Stan.
