We haven't see the last of Lainey on screens just yet!

The two-time Grammy Award winner announced she will be making her feature film acting debut.

Lainey joins an A-list cast in Universal's adaptation of Colleen Hoover's bestseller Reminders of Him.

Starring alongside Maika Monroe, Bradley Whitford (The Handmaid's Tale), Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls), Nicholas Duvernay (The White Lotus) and Tyriq Withers, the film is set for release in February 2026.

Taking to Instagram, Colleen Hoover personally announced Lainey's addition to the film.

"@laineywilson is gracing us with her amazing presence as Amy," the author revealed.

To which Lainey replied: "Couldn't be more excited to be your Amy!"

Reminders of Him comes after the film adaptation of Hoover's bestseller It Ends With Us which starred Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni and grossed US$344 million worldwide, as reported by Variety.

This newest film it set to be a hit when it comes Valentine's Day next year.

But of course, this isn't Lainey's first time acting.

Lainey made her TV debut in Season 5 of the hit-drama Yellowstone as local musician Abby, who was Ryan's (Ian Bohen) love interest.

Fans however, might recognise her voice from earlier episodes – on the show's official soundtrack!

Speaking in a behind-the-scene clip shared to Yellowstone's official Instagram page, Cole said: "It's been such an honour to play this character, and this year is a lot about picking up the pieces.

"There's a real sadness to having to just wrap everything up, but everything has to move on.

"That seven years that we spent there has been a special place in a lot of people's hearts."

Despite Cole's words, fans were still clinging on to hope they'd see more of their favourite characters.

"👏👏👏👏🙌 just a great show , I hope we get a spin off," commented one fan.

"I miss Beth already. Can't wait for the spin off !!!" said another while a third asked: "When is this Beth and Rip spin-off ??"

It's the question on everyone's minds and one Kelly Reilly (Beth) recently addressed...

Kelly Reilly

A month earlier, Kelly Reilly seemingly teased a "new chapter" for her character Beth Dutton as she said goodbye to the series.

Taking to Instagram, the 47-year-old wrote: "Whatever the future holds this is the ending of the show we have been making for the past seven years."

In a heartfelt comment, one fan thanked Reilly for her impactful work. As Reilly personally responded, she may have hinted a future with Beth Dutton in it.

"I hope you get a reprise the role because I personally am not finished watching Beth 🔥," the fan said.

To which Reilly replied: "You don't have to be finished .. a new chapter is happening . I wasn't ready to let her go either … ❤️ thank you."

Within just hours, the response amassed over 200 likes with one fan adding: "Thank you for the brilliant news!! I would have missed Beth far too much ❤️."

While there's been no confirmation of an official spin-off, our fingers are certainly crossed!

A Yellowstone reunion

In November 2024, the stars enjoyed a mini reunion to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.

"Gente, 'Merry' Thanksgiving. From my familia to yours. With so much love," the show's still photographer Emerson Miller shared via Instagram on Thursday, confirming some of the stars had gathered together to celebrate.

Those who attended included Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan, Luke Grimes (who plays Kayce Dutton) Ian Bowen (who plays Ryan) and Gil Birmingham (who plays Thomas Rainwater) alongside their partners.

Grimes' wife Bianca Rodrigues was seen holding the couple's newborn baby after welcoming him in October.

The cast appeared to be in high spirits as they beamed at the camera for the snap. Sadly, one noticeable star was not in attendance for the reunion.

Kevin Costner (who played John Dutton) didn't partake with his co-stars after leaving the show before the mid-season premiere. His character's fate was sealed in the first episode, with Dutton being killed by a group of hit men.

Taylor Sheridan

In March 2025, show creator Taylor Sheridan had a surprising announcement to make.

He confirmed that he was set to host a music festival – the first at his own Texas ranch.

Bosque Ranch Live will take place September 13 in Weatherford, Texas, with Drayton Farley, Kaitlin Butts & Jackson Dean on the bill.

All three artists have had their music featured in Sheridan's shows.

"My career is built on the art of storytelling," Sheridan told Billboard. "And nowhere is the storytelling tradition more alive than in country music.

"My hope is that Bosque Ranch Live is a space where these stories can come to life and sets the stage for more events like it to come."

This is the first music concert at Bosque Ranch, but the 1,000-acre ranch has served as a filming location for Yellowstone and its 1883 spin-off.

What a way to keep the show alive!

Sheridan is the mastermind behind the hit-drama series, and also made a cameo in the show as horse trainer Travis Wheatley (spot him in Season 2 showing off his impressive horse riding skills!).

A perfect match to his character, Taylor grew up riding horses on his childhood ranch – and is the owner of a famous ranch himself.

In September 2024, Taylor announced his first big move since the Yellowstone finale.

He'd launched a steakhouse!

The star and his wife took to Instagram to announce his latest business venture – the 6666 Steakhouse (Four Sixes Ranch Steakhouse) inspired by his 6666 Ranch.

It was a brown carpet event at Wynn's Tower Suites in Las Vegas, home to the new pop-up dining experience that was welcomed by a string of A-list stars.

"From the heart of Texas to the lights of Vegas – 6666 Steak House ❤️🥩🤠✨," Taylor and his wife Nicole captioned the photos.

1923 cast members Harrison Ford and Brandon Sklenar attended the debut dinner party, along with Jeremy Renner (Mayor of Kingstown), Landman's Demi Moore with daughters Scout LaRue Willis and Rumer Willis and more...
