Princess Eugenie's son August shares striking feature with Prince Archie in new photos

Princess Eugenie's son August shares a striking feature with Harry and Meghan's son Prince Archie, the similarity revealed in new photos shared by the royal.

Eugenie, 34, shared several photos of August on Instagram to mark his fourth birthday.

In the photos, we see August has the same red hair as Archie, five. Both Harry and Eugenie share a similar hair colour that has been passed down to all their children.

Both Archie and Princess Lilibet have red hair, as do Eugenie's children with Jack Brooksbank, August and Ernest, 22 months.

August, whom his parents called 'Augie', celebrated his birthday on February 9.

Alongside several photos of August with his family his mother wrote: "Happy birthday my darling Augie. Four today. And what an amazing four years."

"You are so incredibly focused and inquisitive and full of adventure and speed. Can't wait for all our adventures… so many more to come," she wrote.

She signed the post off with: "I love you my boy, my angel."

In the first photo, August is seen being held by his mother. The next shows him walking with his father and brother.

Other images include August riding a bike in a London park and walking along a beach.

It isn't known when was the last time royal cousins Eugenie and Harry spent time together with their families.

It may have been as far back as 2022, when Harry and Meghan returned to Frogmore Cottage during Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee in 2022, when Archie was three and Lilibet was one.

Harry and Meghan are now based in the United States. They are currently in Vancouver, Canada for the Invictus Games.

The most recent photo of their children was shared at Christmas.

Prince Harry previously revealed both his children have inherited their mother's thick hair at the WellChild Awards in 2024.

He also said Lilibet's hair was so long she could almost "sit on hers", according to Hello! magazine's Sophie Vokes-Dudgeon, who attended the event at the Royal Lancaster Hotel and shared her experience alongside the duke.

"Archie and Lili have been blessed with their mother's thick hair, he told us, self-effacingly, as he marvelled that it won't be long until Lili can sit on hers," Vokes-Dudgeon wrote.

Eugenie married husband Jack Brooksbank, 38, on October 12, 2018.

Sister Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are parents to Mapelli Mozzi's son Wolfie as well as daughter Sienna, three, and new baby Athena. Sienna has blonde hair, in contrast with her royal cousins.

Harry reportedly inherited his red hair from his mother's side of the family, the Spencers, while Eugenie's children inherited their hair from her mother's side of the family.

Sarah Ferguson has bright red hair, leaving her daughters with ex-husband Prince Andrew with auburn hair.
